Polar Bear Safari and the Northern Lights – With Adventure Life you are flown via private charter to the Arviat Polar Bear Cabins, placed for best possible viewing and polar bear encounters. Travelers split their time between adventure and volunteer activities while staying in Cotopaxi, an 83,000-acre park in central Ecuador. A typical day may start with zip-lining through a temperate forest and riding horses with chagras (cowboys) and continue with an afternoon spent planting trees and clearing trails. At night guests retire to hacienda-style houses with wicker furnishings, fireplaces and hillside views.

Rates start at $6,235 per person double, including taxes. For example, on the Nov. 18 cruise from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi, two travelers pay $9,353 for a double suite, including taxes, down from $12,470 for two. Deal is available on cruises departing Nov. 18, Nov. 27 and Dec. 6.
