Low Water Season (June - October):
In the morning, join your guides for exploration of Fundo Casual by skiff and a jungle trail walk. Take a hike through the unique, flooded ecosystem and observe the canopy trees and buttress roots of the forest. After lunch, sail for the Dorado River. An aluminum skiff brings you deeper into the rainforest for piranha fishing and a night safari.
High Water Season (November - May):
Explore the Clavero Lagoon by skiff. Swim in the calm waters before heading to Irikawa Caño Creek in the afternoon for further exploration.
Low Water Season:
Skirt the riverbanks in search of playful creatures as your skiff cruises along the Zapote River. If you're feeling adventurous, a kayaking excursion is ideal for further discovering the secrets of the Peruvian Amazon. After lunch, head to Supay Lake to continue your explorations by skiff and kayak.
High Water Season:
Between November and May, your journey brings you to the Belluda Caño Creek. Keep an eye out for the Amazonian pink river dolphins! Cruise to the Dorado River, where abundant birdlife abounds, for piranha fishing at sunset. Tonight's safari provides an opportunity to view the nocturnal life along the river.
Day 4 Puerto Miguel Community | Disembark | Iquitos
Visit the Puerto Miguel Community and market where you can interact with the local native people and learn about their culture. Water levels pending, a final skiff and/or kayak excursion showcases the diverse flora and fauna of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve.
Disembark the Delfin II and board a waiting bus for your transfer back to Iquitos. Along the way, stop at the Rescue and Rehabilitation Center of River Mammals (ACOBIA) to learn about manatees and other threatened species. Arrive at the Iquitos airport for your connecting flights home.
