From Quito, it was a quick flight to the small town, where we boarded ia motorized skiff/ riverboat, it was a lot of fun to check out the sights while we flew down the river. Got some great pics. When we get to the "entrance" of Sacha Lodge, there were restrooms, then we had about a 20 min walk through the jungle to get to the lake which was the true entry point into the lodge. Everything that comes into the lodge comes on canoes. It was amazing.
Don't worry about hiking shoes for Sacha Lodge, they provide everyone with big rubber walking boots called "wellies" it is called the rainforest, so there was a lot of mud. I did have removable arch supports from my hiking boots and they helped a lot, you do a lot of hiking. But, that's what you expect to do for an adventure tour.
The ability (of Kassandra) to tailor a guided trip to my exact preferences is very valuable to me, as well as the ability (of Kassandra) to provide expert guidance on destinations and travel dates. I also appreciate the ability of the backup staff (Maria Ignacio, Exito Travel) to coordinate all the details to make the travel logistics easy for the customer.

Our Costa Rica trip was amazing! Kassandra planned everything and the excursions, hotels, overall organization were outstanding. Everything worked out smoothly, the excursions guides were knowledgeable allowing us to see so much of the fauna and flora of the country. The hotels were great as well, all in fantastic locations and with beautiful views.
