A twenty-five mile journey down the Amazon River by motorized boat brings you to the lodge, where private rooms with air conditioning and hot water provide all of the comforts of home. Enjoy an afternoon hike in the beautiful primary rainforest reserve surrounding Ceiba Tops, where you can see enormous trees festooned with epiphytes. Peruse the local handicrafts and textiles and enjoy a demonstration of the Yagua blowgun, which some in the village still use for hunting.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
