I was very fortunate to have on this trip an exceptional staff. These individuals were some of the top experts in their field of studies and have spent many years in the Polar Regions. Our Expedition
Leader was the first to cross the North Pole from Russia to Canada on skis and the Assistant Leader skied to the North Pole when he was 20 and he will be the youngest person at 23 to make it to the South Pole on skies and unassisted. He is making that trip November 2008. (To follow his travel go to www.southsolo.com). The other staff members were made up of experts in Arctic climbing and skiing, Polar Geology (the geologist on my trip was the person who wrote the Antarctica section for the Britannia Encyclopedia), Arctic Wildlife, Arctic Biology, and sea life.
My representative Kevin was very responsive generally and in crafting our itinerary to our specific priorities.

Although there was a lot of paper work, I received help and guidance when I needed it.

Our travel was flawless! The rider pickup (airport, hotel, ship) was seamless. Jane's recommendation for Emerald Cruise Sakara was everything I wanted but the experience was soooo much more. Adventure Life took care of each and every detail and this was the easiest of all my travels.

I spoke with at least a half dozen other travel companies, looking for a Galapagos cruise that fit our schedule and budget. Some companies could manage one or the other, but Erin was the only one who could do both. She found us the perfect cruise, at a fantastic price! And she has been quick and patient with responses to my many questions. So far, Adventure Life has been a fantastic company to work with!
