Day 1: Kangerlussuaq | Embark

Between ice caps and ice floes, past glaciers, icebergs and brash ice, sail to the heart of the northern hemisphere's biggest ice producer. Visit Isabella Bay, a stopover for a large proportion of the threatened Davis Strait-Baffin Bay bowhead whale population. From Greenland's west coast with its mountains softened by glaciers to the Arctic mountain range's steep slopes and Thule's high Arctic tundra, sail through the polar region's most spectacular landscapes. Polar bears, musk ox, and Arctic wolves: journey to see this amazingly rich fauna.

Day 2-3: Ilulissat

  • Ship
  • 2 Breakfasts, 2 Lunches, 2 Dinners
The Ilulissat Fjord offers an extraordinary spectacle. Embark on an unforgettable adventure aboard a local boat to discover this river of ice. When the light changes as the sun’s angle shifts, the icebergs display strange colors, draping themselves in gold, pink, red, and mauve as off in the distance the houses light up for nightfall. In the isolated bay, the horizon, water, and ice meld together and become one.

Day 4: Eqi Glacier

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
"The most beautiful place in the Arctic" is how Paul-Emile Victor described Greenland. The Eqi Glacier is one of the region’s most impressive sights. Here, the silence is broken only by the roaring and cracking of the ice. It is impossible to know if one is shivering from cold or from the sheer thrill of being here. Imagine the vast outline of a glacier, its translucent crystals glowing with an ice-blue fire in the sunlight. Paul-Emile Victor’s shelter cannot be overlooked - it was from here that the French Polar Expeditions’ anthropological and geographic explorations set off in the 1950s.

Day 5: Karrat Fjord

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Karrat Fjord is one of Greenland's most spectacular fjords. During ice breakup, narwhals and seals use the long leads created by high winds in this region to hunt the rich waters of the fjord. The cliffs within the fjord offer good opportunities to see colonies of dovekies, not to mention unbeatable photographic opportunities.

Day 6: Kullorsuaq

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Kullorsuaq is a settlement in the Qaasuitsup municipality in northwestern Greenland. It is the northernmost settlement in the Upernavik Archipelago, located on Kullorsuaq Island at the southern end of Melville Bay, itself part of the larger Baffin Bay. The settlement was founded in 1928 and became a trading station, growing in size after World War II when hunters from several small villages around Inussulik Bay, Sugar Loaf Bay, and Tasiusaq Bay moved into the larger settlements such as Nuussuaq and Kullorsuaq. Today, Kullorsuaq remains one of the most traditional hunting and fishing villages in Greenland, but maintains a stable population.

Day 7: Cape York | Savissivik

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Cape York is an important geographical landmark that delimits the northwestern end of Melville Bay, with the other end commonly defined as Wilcox Head, the western promontory on Kiatassuaq Island. A chain of small coastal islands stretches between Cape York and Cape Melville to the east, the largest of which is Meteorite Island. The cape is located 37 km (23 mi) west-south-west of the Savissivik settlement on Meteorite Island.

Day 8: Thule

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Thule Air Base, on Greenland’s west coast, developed in secret in the early 1950s as a project reminiscent of a spy novel plot. Now an offbeat, hard-to-access destination, Thule, also known by its native name, Pituffik, and the nearby town of Qaanaaq offer an array of options, including environmental tours, museums, local arts and crafts, and wildlife expeditions.

Day 9: Pond Inlet

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
On Baffin Island, located in northern Canada at the mouth of the famous Northwest Passage, there is a small Inuit settlement at the very bounds of infinity. To get there, cross the Arctic Circle, the imaginary line that separates man from lands of mystery and wonder. It’s not so much the way of life that sets Pond Inlet’s inhabitants apart, so much as the setting. Snow-capped mountains, fjords, and glaciers combine in a dazzling natural environment that fills space and expands time. Some discoveries change you forever: this is one of them.

Day 10: Sam Ford Fjord

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Sam Ford Fiord is an isolated, elongated Arctic fjord on Baffin Island's northeastern coast in the Qikiqtaaluk Region of Nunavut, Canada. This fjord is reputed for the harsh beauty of its landscapes with rocky cliffs rising steeply from the shore.

Day 11: Clyde River

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Clyde River is an Inuit hamlet located on the shore of Baffin Island's Patricia Bay, off Clyde Inlet, an arm of Davis Strait in the Qikiqtaaluk Region of Nunavut, Canada. It lies in the Baffin Mountains which in turn form part of the Arctic Cordillera mountain range. The area is surrounded by spectacular fiords that stretch all the way into the Barnes Icecap.

Day 12: Isabella Bay

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Niginganiq is located on the northeast coast of Baffin Island, near the community of Clyde River. Also referred to as Isabella Bay or Igaliqtuuq, this area is a pristine late summer and fall feeding and resting stopover for a large proportion of the threatened Davis Strait-Baffin Bay bowhead whale population.

Day 13: Sisimiut

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Sisimiut is the capital and largest city of the Qeqqata municipality, and the second largest city in Greenland. It is located in central-western Greenland, on the coast of Davis Strait. Sisimiut has been inhabited for the last 4,500 years, first by the Inuit peoples of the Saqqaq culture, Dorset culture, and then the Thule people, whose descendants form the majority of the current population. Artifacts from the early settlement era can be found throughout the region, favored in the past for its plentiful fauna, particularly the marine mammals providing subsistence for the early hunting societies. The population of modern Greenlanders in Sisimiut is a mix of the Inuit and Danish peoples, who first settled in the area in the 1720s, under the leadership of the Danish missionary, Hans Egede.
