Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Embark from Reykjavik, Iceland for this 8 day arctic adventure. Coiled up at the end of a sheltered bay, Reykjavik hums to the incessant rhythm of the ocean. The planet’s northernmost capital, the city is untamed and fascinating.
Day 2: Grundarfjordur
From Grundarfjordur you leave to discover ancient volcanoes and a place where rivers have shaped the contours in gentle swathes of surreal colors. Later on Le Boréal takes you into a land of lost valleys and plummeting cliffs in the fjords on Iceland’s north-west coast, before heading to the Vestman Islands to admire the gannets as they dive vertically into the sea below – a spectacular sight.
Day 3: Grimsey Island
A small island 40 km north of Iceland and symbolically located directly on the Arctic Circle, Grimsey is a haven for numerous colonies of birds all along its untamed jagged cliffs. Be on the look out for the kittiwake, the Alca torda (small penguin), glaucus gull and the arctic fulmar. However the main resident, and also a symbol of Iceland, is the clown of the sea better known as the puffin.
Day 4: Akureyri
At the end of a magnificent fjord more than 40 km long, the administrative capital of north Iceland deploys its charms on the banks of the Eyjajordur with its multi-coloured houses under the midnight sun. From the town you will leave to explore Lake Myvatn, shaped by volcanic eruptions and host to the famous “Waterfall of the Gods” at Godafoss. Le Boréal’s route will take you into the very heart of north-west Iceland’s fjords, a wild unspoilt land of lost valleys and vertical cliffs where man can barely survive. In this isolated region, the Isafjordur fjord is arguably the most beautiful one in the country, notably for the stacks of ancient basalt rock slides. The delightful little town of Ísafjordur is dwarfed by mountains at the end of the fjord and is totally dependent on fishing.
Day 5: Isafjordur
Port details pending.
Day 6: Heimaey – Vestman Island
Dominated by the Eldfjall, Heimaey is the only inhabited island in the Vestman archipelago. A stunning landscape of vertical cliffs, reefs, marine caves and the ever-changing ocean is home to seals and cetaceans such as the killer whale. Watch the comings and goings of the inimitable puffins as they plunge into the sea
Day 7: Reykjavik - Hafnarfjordur
Welcome to Reykjavik or the “bay of steam”. Coiled within a large bay sheltered from the wind, the world’s most northern capital is blessed with an almost surreal beauty. Founded by a Viking chief in 874, this fascinating yet vibrant city is minutes away from fields of lava and the silvery reflections of the famous Blue Lagoon, a vast natural swimming pool.
Day 8: Reykjavik / Disembark
Disembark back in Reykjavik on the edge of the Polar Circle. Iceland’s wild and fascinating landscape is how one imagines the world at the beginning of time.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!

We book a tour to Peru with them in May. Viewing from their website we didn’t realize that they are private tour company but after quoting the price, it seems reasonable for a private tour, let’s see how’s their service after our tour. The process of booking went smoothly except the payment part which need a bit of work. Need to improve better payment method and options.
