Enjoy a historical tour of the most fascinating attractions in El Calafate. Travel back in time, from the first humans that lived in this place to the present, getting to know the cultural and environmental changes that transformed El Calafate in the town you see today. The first stop will be in Punta Walichu, an archaeological site where you will be able learn about the original peoples that lived in this area, going from the prehistoric rock painting to the Tehuelches, the last of the original peoples that live here. You will also visit the first houses, the main buildings and the political center of the city. You will visit Redonda Bay, a popular place to view a myriad of fascinating birds. At the end you will make a stop at the Historic exhibition hall, where the exposition will take you through 14000 years of environmental and social evolution from the glaciations to the present.

Our travel was flawless! The rider pickup (airport, hotel, ship) was seamless. Jane's recommendation for Emerald Cruise Sakara was everything I wanted but the experience was soooo much more. Adventure Life took care of each and every detail and this was the easiest of all my travels.

I spoke with at least a half dozen other travel companies, looking for a Galapagos cruise that fit our schedule and budget.
