Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
The navigation starts in Puerto Pañuelo sailing along the wonderful lake Nahuel Huapi lake, admiring the color of its waters, the green vegetation and the snow-capped mountains that stand on the horizon. This beautiful landscape was transformed in the course of millions of years by various geological processes. Sail for an hour in the central area of the lake, reaching Quetrihue port south of the peninsula of the same name. Here, you will find the world famous Myrtle Forest. This distinctive tree is recognized by its tan bark and very smooth detaching leaves and reddish light spots, which give the wood a color quite different from anything else. At the end of summer the trees are covered with white flowers and in autumn will give a shiny black fruit. Some trees are 500 and 650 years old.
After hiking through the forest, board the boat again for a 30 minute navigation to Victoria Island. Once on the island, relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the island. Inhabited for thousands of years by natives, evidence of their presence abounds with cave paintings depicting a culture of long ago. Spend time explore the island with your guide. You will have a chance to see a variety of trees including giant sequoias, pine, oak and cypress trees as well as the imperial cormorant.

This was our first trip to South America and we were a little nervous. But Adventure Life made things so easy! All our questions were answered before we left, and our guide, Vidal, was amazing! He gave us enough space to explore without rushing us along. He also knew where the best picture taking opportunities were, which was great.

Our travel was flawless! The rider pickup (airport, hotel, ship) was seamless. Jane's recommendation for Emerald Cruise Sakara was everything I wanted but the experience was soooo much more. Adventure Life took care of each and every detail and this was the easiest of all my travels.

I spoke with at least a half dozen other travel companies, looking for a Galapagos cruise that fit our schedule and budget. Some companies could manage one or the other, but Erin was the only one who could do both. She found us the perfect cruise, at a fantastic price! And she has been quick and patient with responses to my many questions. So far, Adventure Life has been a fantastic company to work with!
