Board the ship at 6:00 p.m. in Brussels. After comfortably settling into your cabin, enjoy a welcome brew to meet the crew and get some information about your cruise. Have dinner on board.
Leave by coach for a tour of Brussels and the Maison des Brasseurs. Located in the city center, the building dates back to 1698 and is directly linked to the rise of Belgian beer brewing. The cellar houses a museum wholly dedicated to beer. Enjoy a tasting or two and then return on board. This afternoon, leave by coach for the Het Anker Brewery in Mechelen, and enjoy a tour and a tasting. This brewery is known worldwide for its Gouden Carolus variety of beers. In 1990, the fifth generation of the Van Breedam family took over the brewery and modernized the brew equipment. Next visit the family-owned Duvel Moortgat Brewery in Breendonk, founded in 1871. It is one of the most modern beer brewing factories in Belgium. Return on board for dinner in Antwerp. This evening, take a tour of Antwerp.
Take a coach to the Dilewyns Brewery. Visit the Malheur Brewery. The blonde Malheur beers are brewed according to tradition, with barley, hops and yeast, but hyper-modern equipment is now used in the process. The brown Malheur beers are brewed according to an old Flemish tradition with hops and spice. Then return on board in Lovendegem. This afternoon, join a tour of the Huyghe Brewery in Melle, where the famous Delirium Tremens is made. This beer is set apart by the three different yeasts used, and its colorful label depicting the different phases of production of the beer contribute to its success. Take a tour of downtown Ghent, including the cathedral and its belfry and Gravensteen (exteriors only). Return on board in Bruges and enjoy a presentation on Belgian beer production.
After breakfast, head to the center of Bruges. Retaining the mysteries of the Middle Ages and unashamedly fairytale-like, Bruges has been an international metropolis for centuries. Have a tasting of the Bourgogne des Flandres, brewed using unique, age-old techniques. The beer ages for several months in wooden barrels in order for the dark liquid to attain its particular taste and creamy head. Spend the afternoon cruising to Ostend. Tonight join the festive gala evening.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!

The trip was not only memorable for the amount of animals we saw but also for the people and accommodations at the two camps where we stayed. Our first guide, BK, was a wealth of information about the animals, landscape and down to the plants and what they were used for. Everyday out was a learning experience with him. All the people at the camps were gracious and the food was excellent.
Our second camp in the Okavanga was just as good as the first as far as the staff, accommodations, food and animals. After our experience at the first camp we amazed that the high quality remained the same. Our guide, G, made sure we were able to enjoy every experience including a rush through the bush to witness a cheetah and an ensuing hunt that he heard over his radio.
In both camps there were enough guides out that if they saw something the other guides were informed which helped in seeing as much as possible. It was also nice that the concessions were large enough that we did not have vehicles following each other throughout the day.
Normally there is always something in a trip of this length that we think could be improved upon but this is the rare case where we cannot think of anything. From the time we left the States to when we returned it was one of the most hassle free vacations we took.
Perhaps emphasizing the use of the laundry facilities at the camps would be useful because of the luggage restrictions would be the only thing I can think of as an improvement to future clients.
