Today we met the rest of the group we are going to be traveling with. In total there are 4 couples and we all seem to get a long just fine. This is going to be fun. We started out with a tour of Lima, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. In all we saw: the
Paseo de la República, San Martín Square, the Main Square, Government Palace, Basilica Cathedral, the
Archbishop's Palace, & City Hall Palace. For lunch we headed over to Miraflores to each at Mango's, a buffet style restaurant that let us try all kinds of local dishes (including Cuy).
After lunch we had a guided tour through the Larco Herrera Museum. It was pretty overwhelming, and I am glad that we had a guide with us to explain all the things we were seeing!
For dinner we all went to la Rosa Nautica, a lovely place located on the pier! The food was great, but it couldn't beat the view!! Amazing!
