Our itinerary for today said we were supposed to hike to Laguna Los Tres, a glacial lake at the base of Cerro Fitz Roy, the highest peak in the area at 11,168 feet. But the weather report called for more rain and clouds, so after talking it over with our guide, we opted to hike to Laguna Torre, at the base of Cerro Torre. Despite the wind and the rain, Laguna Torre offered us a rainbow as our reward for withstanding the elements! Our box lunch, which our guide delivered to us in the morning, included two staples of the Argentine diet -- empanadas and homemade alfajores. As the saying goes, ''The Argentines don't eat to live, they live to eat!'' (see Day 8 photos)
Excellent trip saw much more than would have seen with out Adventure Life's help.

Erin is a seasoned travel planner and is very personable. She is a good listener and uses our questions and concerns to make the trip just as we want it. She is very good at moving the booking process along and meticulous with the details.
This is why we came back to have her plan this trip for us.
