Perched up on the edge of the valley, the view of the Chobe River and the open floodplains from the vantage of your private room and plunge pool is unrivalled in the area. Expect brilliant personal guided safaris through the park in the morning, lazy afternoons by the pool and stunning dinners under African stars. River cruises, game drives, game walks and picnics in the bush are on offer for those keen on exploring the Chobe River.
Ngoma’s thatched buildings are all made from natural materials and blend seamlessly with their surroundings. Ethnic fabrics, building material and artefacts provide a local touch. The lodge is also positioned to give guests unsurpassed views over the legendary Chobe River with many opportunities to see elephants, zebra and buffalo grazing on the floodplain.
The central area of the lodge houses the reception area, lounge, dining room, bar and a plunge pool. A well-positioned viewing deck gives guests a perfect setting from which to enjoy a beautifully prepared evening meal with views over a floodlit waterhole frequented by elephants, zebra, antelope and other game. The lodge has eight private suites, two of which have Indian day beds and may be used as triples.
The suites are all luxuriously appointed and spacious, each with the following facilities:
● Spacious bathroom
● Indoor and outdoor showers
● Open-plan lounge
● Air conditioning
● Overhead fans
● Mini bar
● Tea and coffee making facilities including nespresso machine
● “Refresh and relax” pool
The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
