Set in a riverine forest in the Moremi Game Reserve, the ten tented rooms of Xigera Camp offer travelers an ideal location from which to explore the Okavango Delta. En-suite facilities and an outdoor shower add to the luxurious feel of this camp. The entire camp is interconnected with raised wooden walkways and each tent has a private deck overlooking the seasonal floodplains and waterholes. A thatched lounge, pub and dining area overlook a permanently flowing channel, and a traditional boma offers an alternative dining area under the African stars. There is a plunge pool available to guests while not out on safari.

The wooden footbridge, a unique feature to Xigera, connects Xigera Island to the neighboring island and is often utilized by lion and leopard moving between the two providing guests great viewing opportunities. Birding is also excellent in the area, with Pel's Fishing Owl, Slaty Egret, Wattled Crane, African Skimmers and a host of eagles, vultures, raptors and kingfishers to be found. Xigera has something for everyone, in an area where there are no other Moremi camps and where permanent water all year round allows one to enjoy a variety of activities.

Kate was great to work with in the planning stage. She was prompt, helpful, and efficient. Our tour guide, Edwin, was knowledgeable and passionate. We were very happy to have traveled with Adventure Life, it made the trip easy and a true pleasure. We could concentrate on enjoying the experience rather than the details of travel.
