Day 1 Arrive to Victoria Falls

Arrive Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe and transfer to your hotel. Situated in Victoria Falls town, the boutique Ilala Lodge is actually the closest hotel to Victoria Falls. A secluded setting overlooking green lawns (with periodic grazing wildlife) and the bordering lush National Park vegetation, Ilala Lodge has views of the “smoke” or mist of Victoria Falls. The rest of the day is free to explore the grounds of the hotel.

Day 2 Explore Victoria Falls

After breakfast, head out to explore Victoria Falls with your guide.  This two hour tour of the Fall is a truly awe-inspiring experience – the sight, the sound, the smell give you a humbling feeling that this is truly one of nature's supreme masterpieces. As you walk through the rainforest, your guide will teach you the history of the Falls and point out the surrounding flora, fauna, bird and wildlife. Return to your hotel for the afternoon.

Early evening, board a boat for a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River.  Sunset is not only a great time for some spectactular views but the perfect time to see animals and birds emerge in the cooling evening temperatures.  Enjoy some gourmet snacks, wines and spirits on board while you spy on hippos and crocodiles. Return to your hotel for dinner.
