Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Upon your arrival to the Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport, meet your Safari representative and head straight to The Royal Livingstone Hotel - your home for the next two nights. Take a guided tour of the Zambian side of Victoria Falls and feel for yourself the infamous thunder as the water cascades over the ragged rock edges and plummets 355 feet to the pools below. In the evening, after settling into your spacious room, enjoy a sunset river cruise and ponder your upcoming adventure.
*Please note that the falls are seasonal and almost completely disappear in November and December.
Today is yours to explore as you would like. Visit a local African Village, take your first game drive in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, or try your hand at fishing. Enjoy a private guide and vehicle at your disposal to insure a truly unique and personal experience.
Transfer this morning to Kasane Airport, where you will board a light aircraft bound for the Chitabe Airstrip in the Okavango Delta.
The Okavango's perpetual waters attract herds of wildlife that walk well-worn game paths to quench their thirst in the dry season. Predators follow in their footsteps, providing diverse and exciting game viewing. The area’s range of habitat includes riverine, savannah, forest, and plains and offers travelers a diverse safari experience available in few other, if any, destinations. Spend time on traditional game drives and keep your eyes peeled for the rare roan and sable antelope, plains game and, of course, their predators: the lion, leopard, and endangered wild dog as an incredible bonus.
Take a scenic helicopter ride this morning to Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp, where your camp will explore yet another pristine private concession of the Okavango Delta. Watch from your suite as game meanders right in front of the lodge, take in a relaxing spa treatment at the renowned spa, or take a private game drive by boat or jeep to see what animals lurk nearby.
Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp offers an exceptional Botswana safari experience and features luxurious solitude on its own Delta island within a 272 000 hectare (672 125 acre) exclusive wildlife concession. Depending on the season you can float gently along clear, open channels and explore the myriad islands of the Delta or embark on exciting game drives in search of wildlife.
A birder’s paradise, some 450 species make their home here. In addition to the excellent Big 5 game viewing, you may encounter the rare and graceful red lechwe and semi-aquatic sitatunga antelope.
Today you will take another scenic helicopter ride to Zarafa Camp in northern Botswana for your last few nights on safari. Zarafa offers unparalleled access to the Selinda Reserve, where you can enjoy wildlife viewing both on foot and from the comfort of your safari vehicle. Elephants are a prolific sight at the lagoon and spillway around Zarafa Camp, and the area is also known for big predator viewing such as lions, leopard and the rare African Wild Dog. Spend your evenings relaxing over a drawn out dinner, admiring Botswana's famous night sky.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.

The response from Adventure Life to my first inquiry was prompt and promising. I worked with Jamie Broeckel, Trip Planner, via text, email, and phone calls- always extremely responsive and thorough with information and explaining the process to arrange a private tour for me to Malaysia Borneo. Within about week, the booking was complete and I made decisions because of Jamie's great customer service , friendly manner, and overall competence on behalf of the company's travel expertise. Now I have an itinerary, additional Trip Planner Assistants, several links for vital information for traveling to Maylasia, etc. Still many details for Sept. trip, but now the heavy lifting is done and I can enjoy the rest of the anticipation and research!! Thanks Jamie- you are amazing!!!!

The trip was not only memorable for the amount of animals we saw but also for the people and accommodations at the two camps where we stayed. Our first guide, BK, was a wealth of information about the animals, landscape and down to the plants and what they were used for. Everyday out was a learning experience with him. All the people at the camps were gracious and the food was excellent.
Our second camp in the Okavanga was just as good as the first as far as the staff, accommodations, food and animals. After our experience at the first camp we amazed that the high quality remained the same. Our guide, G, made sure we were able to enjoy every experience including a rush through the bush to witness a cheetah and an ensuing hunt that he heard over his radio.
In both camps there were enough guides out that if they saw something the other guides were informed which helped in seeing as much as possible. It was also nice that the concessions were large enough that we did not have vehicles following each other throughout the day.
Normally there is always something in a trip of this length that we think could be improved upon but this is the rare case where we cannot think of anything. From the time we left the States to when we returned it was one of the most hassle free vacations we took.
Perhaps emphasizing the use of the laundry facilities at the camps would be useful because of the luggage restrictions would be the only thing I can think of as an improvement to future clients.
