Windjammer Cruises in the Caribbean
Experience the Caribbean in the most authentic way possible, under the majestically masted sails of a true windjammer. In addition to the megayacht tours of the Caribbean we offer, Adventure Life has hand-selected the best luxurious clippers in the Caribbean that offer classic windjammer cruises.

What is WindJammer?
The word “windjammer,” has been in use since the late 19th century when it was coined to describe commercial sailing vessels with multiple masts. Nowadays, when you hear the word “windjammer,” it preserves much of its original meaning, usually referring to a tall-masted sailing ship for cruises. These ships resemble larger versions of the classic clipper sailing ships and schooners.

What can you expect on a WindJammer cruise?
Unlike the giant ocean liners that cruise the Caribbean featuring 15 or more decks packed with onboard amenities, windjammers cater to a more discerning crowd who want to spend more time on daily activities and excursions in the Caribbean while they enjoy the intimate atmosphere of a smaller ship.
With an average occupancy between 50-250 passengers, guests enjoy a more relaxed onboard environment, with elegant staterooms and a narrower but ample upper deck that makes you feel much more connected to the turquoise waters of the Caribbean.
Most windjammers have one restaurant and bar, multiple social areas, and two or three decks with cabins and suites. The larger clippers also have onboard amenities like workout rooms and perhaps even a pool.

Cabins Aboard a WindJammer
Like all schooners, windjammers are single-hulled and only have a few decks with cabins, meaning that they tend to be a bit smaller than the cabins that you might encounter on larger cruise ships or megayachts.
The cabins range from staterooms with bunk beds to spacious suites, but for the most part, you can anticipate that your cabin will have either a porthole or a portrait window, a private bathroom, and ample space to store your luggage. There are usually not any balconies in cabins, but you will have 24/7 access to the fresh sea air from the sun deck.
