High year round temperatures in an idyllic tropical climate make the Windward Islands of the Lesser Antilles an enticing destination for Caribbean vacationers. The summer months are hot and humid, while the winters are cool with minimal rainfall.
The Atlantic hurricane season in this region extends from August to October, peaking in September, but the south Windward Islands (like Grenada) are safely outside the storm zone. The dry season runs from December to May, and the wet season goes from June to November. The average temperature is 27 C/ 81 F and seldom strays more than a few degrees in either direction throughout the whole year.
