Guayabo Lodge, view from back patioThis morning, after a wonderful breakfast and beautiful view from the lodge, we started with a mountain bike tour of CATIE in Turrialba. This was an intimate hands on tour. The guide was very patient to answer all of our questions. This was very insightful to the practices of a sustainable dairy farm unique to Costa Rica. We experienced the botanical gardens, coffee & cacao plants, lily pad filled pond - all very interesting and beautiful. Later that afternoon we toured the local Hacienda Real Coffee Farm. Wow, talk about a perfectly organic farm - Tyrone, our guide was so full of energy and passion for growing coffee, he not only showed us exactly how the coffee is processed to your cup, but he also taught us how to taste & smell coffee to know what is the best. Also the Fleur de Cafe is the most beautiful perfume! The gift shop is fabulous from the chocolate covered coffee beans to the coffee liqueurs. Drink up!
Adventure Life has been an extraordinary travel resource for us over the years and today was no exception. Our River Cruise booking was handled by Jess (who has been our personal trip planner for several years) the same day as our inquiry. Suggestions were given for cabin choice and pre-trip options (that were not shown on the cruise line's website) like airport transfers and prepaid gratuities. Trip insurance recommendations followed and we were assigned a travel co-ordinator till the end of the tour. All we have to do is show up! Great service from friendly folks.

Our travel was flawless! The rider pickup (airport, hotel, ship) was seamless. Jane's recommendation for Emerald Cruise Sakara was everything I wanted but the experience was soooo much more. Adventure Life took care of each and every detail and this was the easiest of all my travels.
