This is a full day guided tour of vineyards in the fertile Maipo Valley.
Your guide meets you at your Santiago hotel this morning to begin your tour. Drive south along the foothills of the Andes and explore some of the best wineries in the Maipo Valley. This valley is Chile’s most traditional wine valley and is also one of the most internationally recognized, as it produces many of Chile’s finest red varieties. It is also capturing attention for the exciting new boutique wineries emerging in the region, known as the "Alto" Maipo for its vines grown at higher altitude.
Your first stop is the intriguing small boutique winery, Aquitania. Located just outside Santiago, Aquitania combines the best of French vinicultural practices with the agricultural paradise of Chile to create unique, sophisticated wines. Next visit the Haras de Pirque Winery, which is part of a larger property, combining the owners’ two passions: viticulture and thoroughbred horse breeding. For lunch, enjoy typical Chilean dishes at a Fundacion Origen restaurant nestled in the region of Pirque .

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).
