Arrrive in Dalain today and choose from two optional excursions. Join a tour that provides an overview of life in this city as you visit the largest public square, a bustling farmer's market, a local kindergarten, and a shopping center. Alternatively, board a coach to head towards Zhongshan Square, where you depart on foot for a leisurely stroll through several historic squares. Arrive in the People's Square, where - weather permitting - you can participate in one of the oldest Chinese pastimes: kite flying. Kite flying dates back some 2,000-plus years in China, where indigenous bamboo and silk provide the perfect materials for the delicate airborne apparatus. Enjoy practicing this ancient skill, still thrilling young and old the world over with the fancy of flight, before returning to your ship.
Following breakfast on board, disembark in Tianjin. Transfer to the Beijing airport for your homeward flights.
