This unique 8-day voyage combines the cultural with the culinary. Just as gourmets pair the right wine with each course of a meal, the Corinthian has paired wonderful cultural sites with the great culinary regions of Croatia. Throughout your voyage, visit magnificent historical locales and stop to sample local specialties. Accomplished Italian chef Giuliano Hazan is your guide into traditional and contemporary Croatian cuisine.
Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Arrive in Dubrovnik and transfer to the Corinthian. Set on a rocky peninsula jutting into the Adriatic Sea, Dubrovnik is one of Europe's best-preserved medieval cities and a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its ancient walls enclose narrow cobblestone streets and alleyways, palaces, and mansions. The city contains within its ramparts the Rector's Palace; the Franciscan Monastery, which houses a 13th-century pharmacy (the oldest in Europe); and the baroque Cathedral, with works by Renaissance painters Titian and Andrea del Sarto. Overnight aboard ship docked in Dubrovnik.

Day 3: Korcula Island, Croatia
In Korcula, dock only steps away from the medieval city's intact walls and guard towers. Visit St. Mark's Cathedral and its Treasury, the Bishop's Palace, the Church of All Saints, the Icon Museum, and Marco Polo's home. In the afternoon, drive to the village of Lumbarda to visit a family farm known for its production of excellent white wine from the indigenous Korcular Grk grape. Taste local wines as well as dry-cured ham, goat cheese, olive oil, and organic vegetables - all produced on this peaceful farm on the eastern cape of Korcula.
Day 4: Ploce, Croatia / Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina
Sail to Ploce for an excursion to Mostar, which was a thriving city center under the Ottoman Turks in the 15th century. Located along the banks of the emerald Neretva River, Mostar was damaged by the military conflict in the 1990s. Since, then town has been carefully restored by UNESCO and declared a World Heritage Site. Admire the ethereally graceful Stari Most ("Old Bridge"), originally built in 1566, the nearby Tabacica Mosque, and an old Turkish house, among other sites. An extensive structure, much of which is well preserved, the palace contains within its walls Split's medieval town, making it the only palace that has been continuously inhabited since Roman times. Beyond expectations! Then again we weren't sure what to expect. Lovely stay at the lodge, met other like-minded travelers (many had their trips planned by Adventure Life) and the owner was a gracious hostess. It felt like you were one happy family, visiting with a favorite aunt.
