On Part II of our voyage, visit the vibrant ports of the South American shoreline. En route, discover the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Salvador and Olinda, Brazil; and the Falkland Islands, renowned for their mythical beauty and exotic wildlife. Our ship for this passage will be the all-suite Corinthian II, a 57-suite yacht-like ship with spacious lounges, a library, and broad decks for sunning and relaxing.
Day 1 RIO DE JANEIRO
Arrive in Rio de Janeiro and overnight at the Hotel Caesar Park Ipanema.
Day 2 RIO DE JANEIRO
Embark on the Corinthian II.
Day 3 SANTOS | SÃO PAULO or GUARUJA | SANTOS
From Santos, travel to dynamic São Paulo. Discover the city’s historic buildings, contemporary architecture, and its Museu de Arte. Enjoy free time on the famous Avenida Paulista, perhaps exploring its elegant cafes and boutiques. Alternatively, spend the day in Guaruja and Santos. In Guaruja, visit the most famous beaches on the coast of the São Paulo State and take a walk along the water. In Santos, Brazil’s most important port and the center of the country’s coffee exports, visit the Orchid Garden, coffee exchange, and a 200-year-old historical church. (B, L, D)
Day 4 PARANAGUA | CURITIBA | PARANAGUA
From Paranagua, take the train to the inland town of Curitiba, via Brazil’s most spectacular rail journey, glimpsing high peaks, deep gorges and waterfalls en route. Curitiba is one of Brazil’s loveliest towns, with shaded squares and distinctive architecture.(B, L, D)

Day 7 MONTEVIDEO, URUGUAY
Call at Montevideo, Uruguay’s capital, a city of surprising diversity considering its small population. A tour of the city concentrates on the historic port town, a rich combination of Art Deco, Italian, and colonial Spanish architecture. (B, L, D)
Day 8 MAR DEL PLATA, ARGENTINA
One of Argentina’s oldest and most famous resorts, Mar del Plata is now a thriving city. From Rambla, a promenade facing Playa Bristol, explore the city, including the Cathedral; the Villa Ortiz Basualdo, housing the Municipal Museum of Art; the Victoria Ocampo Cultural Center, an early 1900s house in lovely gardens; and the Sea Museum. Day 10 PUERTO MADRYN & the VALDÉS PENINSULA
Call at the Patagonian town of Puerto Madryn for an excursion to the Valdés Peninsula, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. The Gulfs of San Jose and Nuevo lie on either side of the peninsula, which allow for ideal observation of its unique marine wildlife such as the southern right whale, the sea lion, and the southern elephant seal. Days 13-14 WESTPOINT ISLAND | SAUNDERS ISLAND | STANLEY, Falkland Islands
Spend two days exploring the wildlife-rich Falkland Islands, including Westpoint Island, where we’ll walk across the moors to a rookery of Black-Browed Albatross and Rockhopper Penguins. On Saunders Island, explore the dramatic beaches, teeming with Gentoo and Magellanic Penguins, as well as Cormorant and Black-Browed Albatross colonies. Also explore Stanley, the quaint capital of the Falkland Islands. (B, L, D)

Day 16 USHUAIA, Argentina | DISEMBARK
Arrive in Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost town, situated on the Beagle Channel, with the mountains of Tierra del Fuego as a backdrop. Disembark and transfer to the airport for the flight to the United States via Buenos Aires. (B)
