Sail the legendary Amazon river on this 4-day luxury cruise. Experience the local and remote villages which line the river and search for the mysterious pink river dolphin which lives between its shores.

Day 1

    Arrive Iquitos / Embark

    Arrive in Iquitos and transfer by bus to Nauta, where the Delfin is docked. Board the Delfin and explore the ship before attending happy hour. Attend dinner in the dining room and, when finished, join your guides on the top observation deck to learn about your journey.

    Day 2

      San Isidro / YanaYacu

      In the morning, join your guides for an early morning birding experience. The Amazon wildlife is very active in the mornings and travelers are always rewarded. Eat breakfast in the dining room and disembark the ship at San Isidro. Take a hike through the unique, flooded ecosystem and observe the canopy trees and buttress roots of the forest.

      After lunch, sail for YanaYacu and explore the National Reserve. Take an aluminum skill to sail deeper into the rainforest, viewing wonderful flora and fauna.

      Day 3

        Canopy Walk / Tawampa Lake

        In the morning, arrive at the only Canopy Walkway in the area and experience the rainforest from above. The canopy walkway provides spectacular views of the Amazon's wildlife and vegetation. Canoe through to Tawampa Lake and hope to see the giant Arapaima, the largest fresh-water fish in the world.

        Eat lunch on board before arriving at Nauta Cano, an area fulll of small creeks and lagoons. Sail quietly near the shore and explore marshes, streams, and oxbows. Take a skiff to do piranha fishing.

        In the evening, begin a night safari in search of night herons, paupaques, owls, and fish bats. You may also see spectacled and black caimans.

        Day 4

          Amazon Headwaters / Cano Pirana / Disembark

          After breakfast, sail for the Amazon Headwaters, where the Ucayali and Maranon Rivers merge to form the Amazon River. Visit the San Francisco village and stroll around the community, meeting school children and their teachers.

          Eat lunch on board as the Delfin sails for Nauta. Board a waiting bus for your transfer back to Iquitos. Along the way, stop at the Rescue and Rehabilitation Center of River Mammals and encounter baby manatees. Arrive at the Iquitos airport for your connecting flights home.

          Initial deposit is $500, and most travelers will call our office and pay the deposit with a credit card. Alternatively, you can register online here.

          Final payment is due 100 days prior to departure by bank transfer, check or credit card. All final payments by credit card may be subject to a surcharge and maximum of $20,000 charge.
