Day 1: Baltra | Embark | Santa Cruz Island

Arrive at the Baltra airport and transfer to the Isabela II.

Begin your Galapagos adventure at the Charles Darwin Research Station. View giant tortoises and learn about the scientific research and technical information involved in Galapagos conservation. This is an excellent opportunity to get to know these rare and gentle creatures.

Day 2: Floreana

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
In the morning, arrive at Post Office Bay to partake in the tradition of leaving an addressed letter in the barrel and/or sorting through the mail to find an address which is close enough to your home for you to deliver, yourself! This tradition originated in the 18th century, when whalers placed the barrel on the island and used it as an unofficial post office. Visit the Baroness’ Observatory for stunning coastal and inland views of the island.

In the afternoon, make your way to Cormorant Point and take a trail to the saltwater lagoon which is frequented by flamingos. Take the time to visit Champion Island and snorkel in its clear blue waters.

Day 3: Espanola

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Sail to Espanola and land at Suárez Point to view one of the most outstanding wildlife areas of the archipelago. Punta Suárez provides an exciting walk on lava where various unique sea bird colonies can be viewed including the waved albatross.

In the afternoon, arrive at Gardner Bay to swim and snorkel with the sea lions which call this island their home. Also have the chance for a exploratory panga ride or even a glass bottom boat that will make looking underwater that much easier.

Day 4: San Cristobal

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Journey to Pitt Point to view lava lizards as they scramble over the rocks and watch red-footed-boobies perform their mating dance. This is actually one of the only site in the Galápagos where the three species of boobies can be found together, as well as the two frigate species, plus a colony of sea lions.

Spend the afternoon at Cerro Brujo (Wizard’s Hill), a beautiful white-sand beach. Snorkel off the beach or relax on the soft sand of San Cristobal.

Day 5: San Cristobal

  • 1 Breakfast
Transfer to the airport for your connection to the mainland.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
