Day 3: Casablanca, Morocco
From the powerful Atlas to the abrupt mountains of the Rif, the deserts of golden sand, the fertile plains and fine sandy beaches, Morocco is a kaleidoscope that impresses with its landscapes of a rare beauty. Sailing along the Moroccan coast offers a spectacle of ochre and red light against an azure background. Around the ancient medina, Casablanca has transformed into a vibrant economic metropolis that is a fascinating blend of traditional and modern values. Do not miss the great Hassan II mosque, the “new beacon of Islam” that dominates the rooftops of the city. Its minaret is the tallest structure in the country and presides majestically over the seafront.
Day 4: Essaouira, Morocco
Certain places invite you to dream. Just the mention of the name of Essaouira and the traveler’s gaze is lost in the distance. Discovering Morocco is like looking at the palette of an impressionist painter, a kaleidoscope of colors: green, ochre and Majorelle blue. Renowned for its beauty as much as for its way of life, bewitching Essaouira enchants travelers with its bohemian atmosphere and the charm of its narrow streets winding around the heart of the former Mogador. Nestled on a peninsula facing the Atlantic Ocean, Essaouira likes to surprise the traveler with the architecture at the heart of its peaceful Medina and its colors: the pinky ochre of its city walls contrasts with the whiteness of its houses, with their blue doors and shutters so redolent of the Greek Islands.
Day 5: At Sea
Continue to enjoy the lecture series, workshops and more aboard the L'Austral.
Day 6: Funchal, Madeira
Funchal, a sublime hillside city built around a marvellous natural amphitheatre, dominates the sea from its great height. Here, traditional perfumes abound and the aura of the explorer Joao Gonçalves Zarco is still perceptible. This is Portugal in a nutshell. You can admire the beauty of its architecture in the old town, and its streets paved with black pebbles. Do not miss the Sé do Funchal cathedral built in the Manuélin style with its ceiling inlaid with ivory, the old fortress and also the many churches to be found here and there.
Day 7: Porto Santo, Madeira
Porto Santo is one of the most beautiful islands of Europe, famous for its peace and its unequalled tranquility. Located at 50 km from the North-East of the island of Madeira, it was baptized "the golden island" because of its long beaches of sand and the ochre tint of its ground.
Day 8: Arrecife Lanzarote, Canary Islands
Established on a coast sprinkled with cliffs, Arrecife has a pleasant beach and a lagoon full of charm, Charca of San Ginés, where the fishermen anchor their boats. The city also proposes places fed by history and culture, such as the castle San Gabriel, former fort of defense of the city.
Day 9: Santa Cruz de la Palma, Canary Islands
The old quarter of Santa Cruz de La Palma, declared historic and artistic hides numerous palaces, colonial style buildings and traditional homes of the Canary Islands. It is a natural paradise where you can also go hiking and enjoy all its protected areas, especially in the National Park Caldera de Taburiente.

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).

Adventure Life has been an extraordinary travel resource for us over the years and today was no exception. Our River Cruise booking was handled by Jess (who has been our personal trip planner for several years) the same day as our inquiry. Suggestions were given for cabin choice and pre-trip options (that were not shown on the cruise line's website) like airport transfers and prepaid gratuities. Trip insurance recommendations followed and we were assigned a travel co-ordinator till the end of the tour. All we have to do is show up! Great service from friendly folks.

Our travel was flawless! The rider pickup (airport, hotel, ship) was seamless. Jane's recommendation for Emerald Cruise Sakara was everything I wanted but the experience was soooo much more. Adventure Life took care of each and every detail and this was the easiest of all my travels.
