Your route then takes you to French Polynesia and the exquisite island of Moorea where pristine sandy beaches stretch for miles.

Black volcanic peaks etched against a brilliant blue sky, lush tropical forests full of color and scents, a symphony of cobalt blues, jade greens and sapphire; it is no wonder people call this one of the most beautiful places in the world, on the very edge of reality. Erupting from the sea 13 million years ago, the volcano which formed this gem has been slowly sinking and today is bordered by a shimmering lagoon and outstanding coral reef. A natural aquarium, the island is a haven for divers and remains one of the few places on earth where you can see whale sharks, manta rays and sea turtles.

Lost in the middle of the vast Pacific Ocean, these friendly islands of white sand encircling tropical forests and savannas will capture the hearts and minds of anyone who loves relaxation, adventure and nature.

Yet the Fiji islands also harbor a closely guarded traditional culture, a multi-ethnic identity forged by the different people who have emigrated here over the centuries. The inhabitants of the Fiji islands are famous for their big hearts and laid back approach.

Dining Aboard the L'Austral
Loyal to the great French tradition, the haute cuisine on board is worthy of the finest restaurants, where discreet, attentive service is the hallmark. Two restaurants welcome you for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Gastronomic Restaurant, with a capacity of 268 persons, serves French and international cuisine accompanied by fine wine. On the Grill Restaurant, you will have the opportunity to eat outside and enjoy buffet lunch and themed dinners.

Comfortable cabins, nearly all with private balcony, are available for families either as triples or as communicating cabins. There is also a games area with Wii™ consoles, children’s menus, and baby-sitting service. Just as if you were on a private yacht, your time is your own to do as you please.
Smooth and quiet to provide maximum comfort, L'Austral has also earned the international “green ship” label for her numerous eco-friendly features (dynamic positioning system to avoid having to drop anchor, waste water treatment on board, reduced fuel consumption, etc).
