Day 1 Valparaiso, Chile
Embarkation from 5.30pm to 6.30pm
Days 2-3 At Sea
Day 4 Iquique, Chile
Located between the sea and the desert, the town of Iquique takes pride in its outstanding
historic center. It is a legacy of the wealthy “White Gold Rush” in the days when the much
sought-after sodium nitrate (saltpetre) was mined in the 18th century. Former residences with
their finely wrought facades and colorful buildings bear witness to this opulent period.
Day 5 Arica, Chile
Known as the City of Eternal Spring, Arica is much admired for its rich golden sandy beaches and historic sites. From here you will have the opportunity to explore the Lauca National Park, a renowned UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Day 6 Matarani, Peru
The small fishing port of Matarani is cut off between desert and mountain and offers a chance to visit the lovely colonial town of Arequipa, founded in 1540 and dominated by
no less than three volcanoes. The brilliant white houses of volcanic stone have earned it
the nickname “the white town”. The Santa Catalina Convent is well worth visiting, home
to a community of Carmelites for over 400 years, it is now open to the public.
Day 7 San Juan Marcona / Nazca, Peru
This is your opportunity to fly over the famous Nazca lines: enigmatic and mysterious, are
they an astronomical calendar or ritual paths dedicated to the gods? No one knows as
this magical place jealously guards its secret. Discovered in the 1930s, the 350 giant
geometric shapes include figures such as a spider, a monkey and a bird carved into the
ground by the world’s oldest, pre-Inca, civilization.
Days 8-9 Callao / Lima, Peru
An exciting modern metropolis, Lima also offers some of the finest examples of colonial
architecture and many museums including the famous Gold Museum. From here you have the
opportunity of a lifetime to visit the Inca city of Machu Picchu, Cuzco and the Sacred Valley.
Day 10 Salaverry / Trujillo, Peru
Trujillo has retained much of its former charm in the colonial residences, the Iturregui Palace and
Place d’Armes. Not far from here you will find the Chan Chan site, the largest pre-Columbian
city in the Americas which once stored large quantities of gold, silver and valuable pottery.
Day 11 At Sea
Day 12 Cruising Rio Guayas - Guayaquil, Ecuador
Port details pending.
Day 13 Guayaquil, Ecuador / Disembark
Disembark in Guayaquil for your return flight home

Life aboard the Le Boreal
Find a special ambiance aboard the Le Boreal, as well as the feeling that you are on board your own yacht.
Whether you want to join other guests in the theatre or games area (Wii™ consoles, etc), or relax on your own in a quiet corner of the library, Le Boréal has been designed to meet the needs of every guest. Fitted with the latest equipment (Kinesis Wall, running machine) and the luxurious Beauty Centre on Le Boréal welcomes you for some unforgettable moments of relaxation and pampering.
Everything has been done to preserve the independence of each guest to suit their personal tastes: lounges for lectures and shows, the spa, but also more intimate spaces such as the library and internet corner. Comfortable cabins, nearly all with private balcony, are available for families either as triples or as communicating cabins. There is also a games area with Wii™ consoles, children’s menus, and baby-sitting service. Just as if you were on a private yacht, your time is your own to do as you please.
