Day 4-6: St. Petersburg, Russia

St. Petersburg was the capital of the Russian Empire from 1712 to its collapse in 1917. Its well-preserved ensemble of architecture from this period makes it one of the most beautiful capitals in Europe. There is so much to see here: Pavlovski Palace (the tsar's summer residence), Peter and Paul Fortress, the Pushkin Museum, the magnificent Saint Isaac’s Cathedral and of course the world-renowned Hermitage Museum where more than three million items are on display. On your own or with a guide, discover the Lutheran temple of Temppeliaukion that was dug from the rocks, Finlandia Hall, the palace of Concerts, designed by Aalto or the magnificent Orthodox cathedral.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
