What's your Adventure?

Day 1 Bergen, Norway

Embarking Le Boreal in Bergen (Norway).

Day 2 Aalesund, Norway

Aalesund’s architectural style never fails to take visitors by surprise. After the 1904 disaster, Norwegian architects inspired by the Art Nouveau movement contributed to the town’s reconstruction. The result is exquisitely picturesque. Not far from here is Giske, the island where Rollon, the great Viking chief who commanded the Nordic expeditions to Normandy, was born, and the even more delightful island of Godoy. The village of Alnes offers a fabulous panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean and surrounding islands.

Day 3 Svartisen, Norway

Cruising in the Holandsfjord to reach the glacier lands of Svartisen is a truly amazing experience! Come face to face with the Norway’s second largest glacier, a real beauty next to a superb lake, which waters are the colour of bronze.

Day 4 Svolvaer, Lofoten, Norway

you love wild landscapes and unforgettable views, you will be enchanted! The Lofoten Islands with their rugged sharp ridges carved by the elements jut out from the Norwegian Coast like a claw into the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 5 Tromsö, Norway

A former whale hunting capital of the Arctic, Tromsö is better known these days as the Paris of the North. A young and vibrant city, it has retained its authentic cachet thanks to the typical yet not so common wooden dwellings. The Arctic Cathedral, whose stained glass windows are among the highest in Europe, and the polar museum, are just two of many sites worth a visit.

Day 6 At Sea

Days 7-9 Spitzbergen

Lost beyond the 80° northern latitude, this is the last terra firma before the Pole. The silence is baffling, a breath of wind is enough to transport you beyond your own imagination. The Svalbard Islands, less than 1,300 km from the geographical North Pole, have always fascinated Man. The contrasting landscapes of this polar region are spellbinding, gently giving up their secrets as you make your own personal journey on Le Boreals voyage of discovery.

Day 10 At Sea

Enjoy the silence which surrounds you inside the warmth of your luxury ship.

Day 11 Sailing along Jan Mayen Island

Sailing along Jan Mayen Island.

Day 12 Akureyri, Iceland

Capital of the North and lying just south of the Arctic Circle, Akureyri (Iceland) is the Iceland’s most beautiful town with its many gardens and colourfully painted houses. This is our point of departure for a visit to Lake Myvatn, shaped by volcanic eruptions, and the famous “Waterfall of the Gods” at Godafoss.

Day 12 Grundarfjordur, Iceland

Situated on the north bank of the Snaefellsnes Peninsula on the cold waters of the Breidafjodur, Grundarfjordur is a lively pretty town. It is particularly famous for the volcano which was the point of departure for Jules Verne’s “Voyage to the Centre of the Earth”.

Day 13 Reykjavik, Iceland

Encircled by mountains and the sea, Reykjavik (Iceland) is minutes away from Iceland’s unspoiled rugged nature as the presence of arctic terns, wild geese and ducks in the city center can testify. Overnight the ship in port.

Day 14 Disembark in Reykjavik

Disembark this morning in Reykjavik for your continued journey.
