First port of call: Bergen is probably the most beautiful of the Scandinavian Hanseatic cities where the silhouettes of gabled houses represent one of the enduring images of medieval Norway. Then there are the majestic Norwegian fjords where the sheer beauty of their vast rivers of silvery-blue ice offers a truly unique spectacle. The image of Le Boréal amidst the grandeur of the Geiranger fjord will remain with you forever.

Day 6 Kirkwall, Orkneys Islands - Scotland
Going back more than 4,500 years the history of the Orkneys dates to the earliest Neolithic dwellings. Today its towering cliffs have become a refuge for thousands of seabirds including gannets, crested cormorants and grey petrels.

Explore the Isle of Wight, an island steeped in a fascinating past reaching way back to the dinosaurs. Roman villas, medieval castles and superbly maintained Victorian mansions reflect the past. Undoubtedly a highlight is the visit to Osborne House, very near Cowes, which was originally designed as a summer residence for Queen Victoria and the royal family.
