Private Independent Travel

Board the M/V Anakonda for this fascinating 5-day itinerary on the Amazon river. Visit remote villages and sail through unique and fragile ecosystems on your luxurious small-ship voyage.

Day 1

    Embark

Arrive in the city of Coca and transfer to the Río Napo port. Take a 90-minute motorized canoe downstream to board the M/V Anakonda. After boarding, attend a welcome orientation and begin your journey down the Amazon. Following dinner, enjoy an optional nocturnal forest walk to discover the mysteries of this unique environment.

    Day 2

      Yasuni National Park

In the morning, disembark to explore by land. Learn about the relationship between plants and animals while keeping an eye out for samples of the Amazon's fascinating biodiversity.

After lunch, continue your navigation towards one of the most pristine black-water systems of the Amazon Basin, home to legendary Pink River Dolphins, Black Cayman, and the enigmatic Amazonian Anaconda. Take a canoe trip upstream to further experience the striking beauty of this aquatic jungle world.

      Day 3

Meeting the Locals of the Napo River

Enjoy breakfast on board, then visit a school located on the banks of the Napo River. Interact with the children of the area and learn about the educational system of this remote jungle community. After lunch, navigate upstream and attend a lecture and documentary screening.

For more adventurous guests, the opportunity to try Glamping is an option. Please inquire for more information.

        Day 4

          Observation Tower

In the morning, visit an observation tower which is 100-feet high to get great views of the forest as it looms over the treetops. In the afternoon, visit Limoncocha Biological Reserve, a fascinating protected area where more than 478 bird species and several monkey species have been recoded. In the evening, head out to spot black caiman in the sill waters.

          Day 5

            Disembark

In the morning, disembark the Anakonda and arrive back in Coca by canoe. Transfer to the airport for your connecting flights onward.
