Private Independent Travel

Day 1

    Quito / Coca / Napo River / Yasuni National Park

    Arrive in Coca and transfer to the docks to embark on a motorized canoe. Navigate down the river for about 80 minutes before meeting the M/V Manatee.

    Immediately after boarding the M/V Manatee, begin to navigate downstream. Settle in to your cabin and familiarize yourself with the ship as you sail. In the evening, disembark and take an evening walk to experience the forest's nocturnal activity.

    Day 2

      Sani Warmi / Observation Tower

      Visit the Sani Warmi Kichwa Interpretation Center and sit with a group of Kichwa women. Learn about their customs, cuisine, and everyday life. In the afternoon, visit an observation tower which is 100-feet high and was built against a giant kapok tree. From the top of the tower, admire the unique perspective of the forest, looming over the treetops and the greatness of the Amazon Basin.

      Day 3

        Yasuni National Park / Yakukawsay

        Enjoy breakfast on board before setting out on a morning walk in Yasuni National Park. Seek out the secret to Amazonia's amazing biodiversity and follow your naturalist guides, learning about the wonders of the floral and faunal communities which make it so special.

        After lunch, stop at the Yakukawsay Kichwa Interpretation Center and end with a fascinating evening walk through the forest.

        Day 4

          Fly to Quito

          In the morning, disembark the M/V Manatee and transfer back by motorized canoe to Coca before catching your flight back to Quito.

          Initial deposit is $400, and most travelers will call our office and pay the deposit with a credit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, and Discover.           Final payment is due 100 days prior to departure.

          Final payment by bank transfer, check or Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or Amex. Credit Card payments subject to 3% convenience fee and maximum $15,000 charge.
