Day 1: Split / Supetar

Board the MS Cicero at 11 AM and settle in to your cabin. Set sail at 1 PM and enjoy a welcome cocktail as you leave port. Familiarize yourself with the ship and her crew and enjoy lunch on board. Sail for the island of Brac, the third largest island of the Adriatic islands, known for its stunning hilly landscape and perfectly white limestone.

Arrive at Supetar and mount your bike for your first ride along the coast. Pass through the small village Splitska and stop in the town of Postira for a refreshing swim in the Adriatic Sea. Ride back to Supetar and spend the night in its harbor.

Bike route, approx. 12.4 miles, Supetar – Postira – Supetar (difficulty level: light)

Day 2: Supetar / Milna / Bol / Stari Grad

In the morning, sail to Bol, a famous costal village with one of the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean sea: Zlatni Rat ("The Golden Horn"). As the ship leaves for Milna, ride your bike west towards Mirca and Sutivan to Lozisca. If you do not feel like tackling the hill, you are welcome to continue to Milna and travel by ship to Bol. The route continues through the picturesque villages and hamlets of Dracevica, Nerezisca, Praznice, and Gornji Humac. After a climb to a height of approximately 1,641 feet above sea level, you can choose to either venture all the way up to the Mount of Vidova Gora – the highest mountain of the Adriatic islands with a height of 2,553 feet above sea level - or return to the ship. The views from the top are rewarding: a magnificent view over the islands of Brac, Solta, Hvar and Korcula, the peninsula of Peljesac, and the "Golden Horn." After your descent to Bol, the bikes will be loaded onto the ship before setting sail for Stari Grad. After your arrival and dinner, explore the narrow streets of Stari Grad, a settlement whose foundations date back to Ancient Greece.

Take a break for a cup of coffee or a scoop of ice cream before returning to Stari Grad, where you can load your bikes on the ship and sail to the town of Hvar. This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).
