Sail north to Ålesund, a beautiful town renowned for its Art Nouveau architecture. Set course into the spectacular UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord, where you can enjoy a scenic excursion which includes a breathtaking drive down the winding Trollstigen Pass.
The architecture and surroundings in Trondheim create a beautiful setting for any outing, whether as part of a guided tour in Nidaros Cathedral or a casual stroll through the Bakkland district. In the evening, continue to the Land of the Midnight Sun.
Cross the Arctic Circle and arrive in Ørnes. The Arctic Circle marks the southern extremity of the polar, 24-hour sunlit day - often referred to as the 'Midnight Sun.' Complete your visit with a stroll between the stock-fish racks and 'rorbuer,' the traditional red fishermen's residences.
During the night, pass the magnificent Trollfjord and sail through the narrow Raftsund Strait. Admire the rugged mountainous landscape which juts up against the horizon under the endless sun. Continue to Tromsø, a city with many lively restaurants and cafés.
Arrive in Honningsvåg, the starting point of an optional excursion to the spectacular North Cape, the northernmost point of mainland Europe. From the fishing village of Kjøllefjord, get a 'Taste of Lapland' by meeting a Sámi family.

Notes
Originally launched in Oslo, Norway, the MS Lofoten provides a voyage of real nostalgia with an intimate informal atmosphere. Named after the Lofoten Islands just north of the Arctic Circle, which are famous for their dramatic scenery and often described as 'a masterpiece,' the MS Lofoten delights her passengers with her careful navigation skills and attention to detail. The second ship in her fleet to carry the proud name of Lofoten, she was refurbished and refitted in 2003 with most of the original style and atmosphere preserved. With unique lounges and panoramic decks, the MS Lofoten is simply incomparable. Her cabins are comfortable and cozy, and her experiences are once-in-a-lifetime.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.

Adventure Life is definitely a first-class safari tour company, and our representative was Franny Friesz. First of all, she responded immediately after we contacted Adventure Life. We told Franny that we had never been on a safari, and she was more than eager to offer a mountain of information about the trip. She informed us fully about all the ups, downs, and all arounds! She even prepared a number of packages for us to review -- even after we made changes to the areas we wanted to explore. Friendly, helpful, professional, and extremely knowledgeable -- these words describe Franny, and what a wonderful trip she prepared! We couldn't have asked for better service than Franny of Adventure Life. We HIGHLY recommend her and her outstanding company! Bon Voyage!

The staff at Adventure Life made planning my family's trip to the Galapagos Islands as easy as possible. They listened to what we were hoping to experience and made thoughtful suggestions about how to accomplish our vacation goals while meeting the needs of travelers ages 17-76! They patiently answered questions and follow up questions in the months leading up to the trip. They helped us trouble shoot and customize the trip in every way possible. The logistics involved in traveling from Boston to the Galapagos are innumerable. The Adventure Life staff helped us arrange every detail and the team they assembled in the Galapagos was tremendous. I have never done a trip this big before and after working with Adventure Life this time--would not hesitate one second in working with them again.
