Day 1: Dubrovnik / Embark

  • 1 Dinner
Board the MS Macao in Dubrovnik at 11 AM and settle into your cabin before enjoying a welcome drink and snack. Meet your Cruise Director and the crew during a safety briefing, then set sail for the island of Korcula. Korcula, a small town of immense beauty, is located on the northeastern part of the island. Its medieval core was built in a fishbone-like pattern and offers great views of the island.

Disembark after dinner and take an evening walk around the town. Learn about its long history, ingenious building strategies, peculiar building layout, and the legend of a great merchant traveler, Marco Polo, who was born in the town.

Day 2: Korcula / Pucisca (Brac)

  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
After breakfast, set sail towards the island of Brac, passing through the scenic Peljesac channel and around the tip of the peninsula. Weather permitting, drop anchor for a refreshing swim in a secluded bay. Arrive in Pucisca, surrounded by stone quarries which yield some of the whitest limestone in the world. The snow-white stone decorates the façade of the White House and other landmarks all over the world. Visit to a nearby stonemasonry school to learn about the Brac limestone and the unconventional tools used in its creation. Later in the evening, pick your spot along the seaside to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the island over a glass of wine.

Day 3: Pucisca / Omis / Split

  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Enjoy breakfast as the ship sails across the Brac channel towards the mainland. Disembark in Omis, a small town known for two things: the stunning beauty of river Cetina canyon, and its notorious pirates. Take a short walking tour to learn about the history of the town, which was built below steep mountains at the mouth of river Cetina. Also, learn about the island's pirates, which brought the town its fame in the Middle Ages. After the tour, board a small boat and sail into the Cetina River canyon, a protected nature area.

In the afternoon, continue sailing to Split. Upon arrival, take a tour of the Old Town and explore the ancient Diocletian Palace, which was built over 1700 years ago. Because of its historical and architectural importance, the whole Old Town is part of the UNESCO’s List of World Cultural Heritage sites. After the tour, enjoy some free time to explore Split and take advantage of its lively Mediterranean spirit.

Day 4: Split / Hvar

  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Early in the morning, join your Cruise Director for a visit to the fish and produce market in Split. Gain a unique insight into the traditional cuisine and hope to obtain a few recipes from the locals. Afterwards, return to the ship and enjoy breakfast as you sail towards Hvar, known as the sunniest island in Croatia. Upon arrival, join an expert local guide for a walk around the ancient streets of Hvar and visit a lavender and rosemary farm.

Day 5: Hvar / Vela Luka

  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Spend the morning in a quiet bay and enjoy a swimming break before continuing to Vela Luka, located on the western side of Korcula island. Take an optional tour of the island to gain a first-hand perspective of Korcula's vineyards, olive orchards, and hilly landscape. Visit the Zlokic olive oil factory and meet with the owner, Mr. Zlokic, who will personally show you around his factory and explain the process of olive pressing. Your next destination is a family-run folk museum in the town of Blato, situated in the middle of the island. The museum houses a collection of tools and items used by peasants on the island over the last several centuries. Return to the ship in the evening and enjoy dinner as the sun sets over Vela Luka.

Day 6: Vela Luka / Pomena

  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Depart for the island of Mljet in the early morning. Upon arrival, enjoy some free time to explore the island on your own. Rent a bicycle and ride the numerous paths around the island's two salty lakes, rent a kayak, or take a jog through its wooded forests. Alternatively, board a small boat and cruise to the lake islands to discover the church of St Mary, which was built in the 12th century.

Optional excursion: Take an unguided tour of Mljet National Park. Please note that the entrance fee must be paid upon arrival.

Day 7: Pomena / Dubrovnik

  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Spend the morning cruising on your way back to Dubrovnik. Upon arrival, take a shuttle bus to the Old Town for a guided tour of the city. A fascinating world-known landmark, Dubrovnik offers ancient architecture and historical significance. After the tour, enjoy some free time to explore the city on your own. Take the cable-car to the top of the hill overlooking Dubrovnik, make the full circle around the walls, or enjoy a scoop of ice cream as you stroll through the narrow streets.

Day 8: Dubrovnik / Disembark

  • 1 Breakfast
Enjoy one last breakfast on board before disembarking the ship at 9 AM. Continue independently for your onward travels.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
