Day 1 Punta Arenas, Chile
This afternoon board the Stella Australis, your state-of-the-art cruise ship to begin your Patagonia travel adventures. Check in from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Magallanes 990, Punta Arenas. 6:00 p.m., embark the Expedition Cruise Ship. The Captain and crew will give a welcome cocktail reception on board. Immediately afterward, the ship will set sail for the ”uttermost part of the earth.” This is the beginning of a Great Adventure!
Day 2 Brooks Fiord & Ainsworth Bay
At the first light of daybreak, enter Brookes Fiord where you will see a natural amphitheater of glaciers. Disembark in the Zodiac boats and will have the opportunity to walk to the proximity of one of these immense masses of ice.
In the afternoon, continue navigating through Almirantazgo Sound, until arriving in the vicinity of Marinelli Glacier in Ainsworth Bay, in the middle of the Darwin Mountain Range and within the limits of Alberto De Agostini National Park. Here, learn how life reemerges after the ice retreats. Take a walk to discover a beaver dam in the marvelous sub polar Magellanic forest that surrounds it. On the beach try to see elephant seals. However, sighting cannot be guaranteed as the exact location of the colony is unpredictable.
Day 3 Águila and Cóndor Glaciers
At dawn, find yourself in front of Serrano Glacier, in one of the fiords that makes up Agostini Sound, where you will be able to appreciate it from the external decks. At breakfast time see Agostini Glacier, whose name commemorates the Salesian Priest, Alberto Maria de Agostini, an Italian explorer who made numerous expeditions to Tierra del Fuego, getting to know the local aboriginal cultures and attempting their historic rescue. Navigate towards the Águila Glacier, where you will disembark in the Zodiac boats to take a beautiful walk along the shore of a glacial lake and get near one side of this impressive mass of ice.
After lunch, your excursion will be aboard the Zodiac boats in order to go deeper into the Cóndor Fiord where you will appreciate the beauty of this glacier. Learn about the formation of glaciers and their influence in the abrupt geography of the Fuego – Patagonian Channels.
Day 4 Marta Island - Punta Arenas
Early in the morning, and weather permitting arrive at Marta Island to observe sea lions from the Zodiac boats. After your visit, sail to Punta Arenas, disembarking at 11:30 a.m.

Embark on the Stella Australis, launched in 2010 for Patagonia cruising. Part of the Australis fleet, sister ship to Mare Australis and Via Australis, all specially designed for Patagonia cruising.
The Stella Australis, constructed in 2010, has five decks, a capacity for 210 passengers and 100 cabins, each which feature picture windows and private facilities.
Amenities on board the Stella Australis
The Stella Australis has three lounges for meetings equipped with modern audiovisual equipment, a dining room, an exercise room, and a spacious open deck area allowing the observation of the marvelous southern scenery at all times.
• Daily excursions via Zodiac boats, accompanied by expert guides in small groups.
• All-inclusive meals and bar with selected beverages, liquors, and wines (during open hours).
• Audiovisual presentations on the region’s flora, fauna, geography, glaciology, ethnography, and history.
• Official languages on board are Spanish and English. However, you may find guides speaking French, German and Italian.
• Satellite phone access.
The cruise is “all-inclusive”: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Open Bar for wine, beer, liquor and other beverages. The menu combines international cuisine and local recipes, which allows the discovery of the delicious and varied regional gastronomy, accompanied by Chilean and Argentine wines.

The Stella Australis carries 210 passengers in 100 spacious cabins. Each cabin has picture windows, independent climate control, a private bathroom, and satellite phone. Cabin sizes vary from 16.5 m2 to 20.5 m2.
