Set sail in Patagonia on this 4-day cruise around Cape Horn and through Glacier Alley. View the magnificent blue glaciers of the region and hike through the pristine forests which overlook the sea.
Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Board the M/V Stella Australis 5:30 PM and settle in to your cabin. Attend a welcome cocktail reception, hosted by the Captain and his crew, and embark on your cruise through Patagonia. Set sail for the Strait of Magellan, the Beagle Channel, and the Tierra del Fuego archipelago.
Sail through Murray Channel and Nassau Bay to reach Cape Horn National Park. The legendary Cape Horn was discovered in 1616 and is a sheer 1,394-foot rocky promontory. For many years, it was an important navigation route between the Pacific and the Atlantic, and is often referred to as the 'End of the Earth.' The park was declared a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2005.
In the afternoon, go ashore at historic Wulaia Bay, originally the site of one of the region's largest Yamana aboriginal settlements. Charles Darwin landed at the settlement in 1833 during his voyage on the HMS Beagle. The area is renowned for the mesmerizing beauty of its vegetation and geography. Take an enchanted walk through the Magellan Forest of lengas, coigues, canelos, ferns, and other endemic vegetation to reach a panoramic viewpoint.
Day 3: Garibaldi Glacier / Pia Glacier / Glacier Alley
In the morning, enter Garibaldi Fjord and disembark for a hike through the forest. If you choose to stay onboard, the Captain will point the bow towards the beautiful blue Garibaldi Glacier, so you can enjoy the panoramic view from the upper decks.
In the afternoon, navigate along the Northwest arm of the Beagle Channel and reach Pia Fjord. Disembark and take a short hike to gain a panoramic view of the spectacular Pia Glacier, which extends from the mountaintops down to the sea. Return to the ship and continue along the Beagle Channel through the majestic Glacier Alley.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.

The info on the website was laid out very well. I did some comparisons with other tours and found Adventure Life met a lot of what I wanted in an Antarctica trip at the cheapest price. Requested a quote on Claudia contacted me right away. She answered a lot of questions the I had via email even though she offered to discuss via phone call. I’m more of an email person so appreciated how she accommodated that and answered all my questions. And when I was ready to book, she quickly got the ball rolling with getting our spots reserved on the trip my friend and I wanted. Thanks again, Claudia!

(1) great information on the website and throughout all the "materials." (2) Jane Packer is great: knowledgeable, responsive, takes a personal interest and tone, seems to care about the customer as a person not a sale.

For our first trip to Costa Rica, Adventure Life designed a tour that meets the interests, ecological and adventure, of our party; but also takes into account our physical limitations sine we are all septuagenarian. We are looking forward to the trip.
