Upon arrival at San Cristobal airport, visitors must go through an inspection in order to verify that no foreign plants or animals are being introduced to the islands.
In the afternoon, visit Puerto Chino. It is rife with huge cactus over the trail like trees. Once you get on the beach, enjoy its surroundings with it wildlife. Sea lions share the beach with people so its common see the puppies playing and swimming. Enjoy the deep blue waters with the waves and tide, occasionally there is wildlife to see, especially tortoises.

San Cristobal island has endemic species such as the Mockingbird Nesomimus melanotis, lava lizard (Microlophus bivittatus), Chatham Leaf-toed Gecko (Phyllodactylus leei) and the tortoises. All of these species can be observed in this place, the beach is really big and it works as a nesting zone for marine tortoises.
This morning you will cruise to Gardner Bay on the northeastern coast of Española Island. Swim snorkel, kayak, and enjoy the crystal clear waters of the bay.
Move on to Punta Suarez in the afternoon, a rocky outcropping on Española's southern shore. This site provides habitat for the largest, most varied populations of sea birds in the Galapagos. Watch as birds soar along the cliffs, dodging the spectacular water spouts and pounding surf.
This morning, travel to Punta Cormorant on Floreana Island. One of the largest lagoons in the Galapagos is found here, along with one of the strongest colonies of flamingos. Observe various species of shore birds amid the tuff lava cones, and visit the two distinctive beaches of Punta Cormorant: the Green Beach, made up of olivine crystals, and the white coral Flour Sand Beach.
This afternoon visit historic Post Office Bay, landing area for the island's colonists and site of the famous wooden barrel that has served as a post office for mariners and tourists since the 18th century. Continue on to Baroness lookout and be rewarded by stunning views of the island below.
Santa Fe Island has a unique history in relation to the rest of the Galapagos. It was formed by and uplift, rather than a volcano, and is therefore considerably flatter and distinctive. This morning, explore Santa Fe's trails, spot sea lions, and snorkel along the crystal clear shore.
After Santa Fe, head to South Plaza Island. Although small, South Plaza is home to some of the archipelago's most unique and interesting wildlife species. Notable among these are the marine, land, and hybrid iguanas.
Explore North Seymour Island this morning. Seymour is another uplifted island whose landscape differs from its volcanic counterparts, being generally flat and boulder strewn. It provides ideal habitat for magnificent frigate birds, blue-footed boobies, and sea lions. Wander through the island and along the rocky shore, taking in the spectacular scenery.
Head to Bachas Beach in the afternoon, located on Santa Cruz Island. Made up of decomposed coral, Bachas' soft, white sand provides a perfect nesting site for sea turtles. An adjacent beach was used by the US as a point of protection for the Panama Canal. Two barges can still be seen there, abandoned after WWII.

The staff at Adventure Life made planning my family's trip to the Galapagos Islands as easy as possible. They listened to what we were hoping to experience and made thoughtful suggestions about how to accomplish our vacation goals while meeting the needs of travelers ages 17-76! They patiently answered questions and follow up questions in the months leading up to the trip. They helped us trouble shoot and customize the trip in every way possible. The logistics involved in traveling from Boston to the Galapagos are innumerable. The Adventure Life staff helped us arrange every detail and the team they assembled in the Galapagos was tremendous. I have never done a trip this big before and after working with Adventure Life this time--would not hesitate one second in working with them again.

The info on the website was laid out very well. I did some comparisons with other tours and found Adventure Life met a lot of what I wanted in an Antarctica trip at the cheapest price. Requested a quote on Claudia contacted me right away. She answered a lot of questions the I had via email even though she offered to discuss via phone call. I’m more of an email person so appreciated how she accommodated that and answered all my questions. And when I was ready to book, she quickly got the ball rolling with getting our spots reserved on the trip my friend and I wanted. Thanks again, Claudia!

(1) great information on the website and throughout all the "materials." (2) Jane Packer is great: knowledgeable, responsive, takes a personal interest and tone, seems to care about the customer as a person not a sale.
