Day 1: Singapore

Arrive in Singapore and board the SeaDream II. Settle in to your cabin and familiarize yourself with the ship and her crew before setting sail. Attend a welcome dinner relax into life on board.

Day 2: Pangkor Island

Arrive on Pulau Pangkor, an island just off the central Malaysian coast. The island was most likely first settled when refugees fled in the path of powerful armies which swept along the peninsula. Later, with expanding European spice trade, pirates discovered hidden Pangkor coves. The main island town is known as Pangkor Village, but beaches and plush resorts are the main attractions.

Day 3: Tarutao Island

Sail for Ko Tarutao, a relatively large island which features rugged and mountainous peaks stretching more than 500 meters high. The Malay word "tarutao" means old, mysterious and primitive, and today Ko Tarutao retains these qualities even though it's been bisected by a long path of blazing white concrete. Ko Tarutao is a haven for wildlife, and sea turtles, whales, monitor lizards, crab-eating macaques, mouse deer, and countless species of birds all call the island and its surrounding waters home.

Day 4: Phuket

Arrive in Phuket, widely known for its fine resorts and traditional Thai culture. Visit South Phuket's Wat Chalong and its Grand Pagoda, one of the island's most revered sites, which preserves a fragment of Lord Buddha's bone. After touring the area, curl up on a quiet section of Ao Patong (Patong Beach) and soak in the tropical views. Take a short Phang Nga cruise or join your guide to ride an elephant.

Day 5: A Dang Island

Sail for A Dang Island and visit Tarutao National Park in Thailand's southern Satun Province. The area is full of white sand beaches and fringed with colorful coral reef.

Day 6: Penang Island

One of 13 Malaysian states, Penang Island is just 110 sq miles. The island was independent until the British Raj arrived. In 1786, Captain Francis Light acquired Penang from the Sultan on behalf of the British East India Company. Georgetown is a pleasant place of colonial architecture and atmosphere. Fort Cornwallis' weathered walls are just about the center of town, and the fort – Captain Light's landing site – is one of Penang's oldest English structures.

Sail for Malacca which, according to official records, was established in 1390AD. Learn about the Dutch Colonial heritage or relax on the fine beaches of the area.

Day 8: Singapore

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
