Day 1: Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas | Embark

Arrive at Charlotte Amalie, the capital and largest city in the U.S. Virgin Islands. It has two ports of call for cruise vessels, Havensight and Crown Bay. The island has loads of history, beautiful beaches, a fantastic golf course, and incredible shopping options.

Day 2: Cruz Bay, St. John

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Two-thirds of St. John is National Park and this is the most virgin of the U.S. Virgin Islands, blessed with many beautiful beaches and bays, fine anchorages, and verdant hills.

Day 3: Saba, Netherlands Antilles

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Saba is the smallest special municipality of the Netherlands. It consists largely of the potentially active volcano Mount Scenery, which at 887 meters (2,910 ft) is the highest point within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The island has a land area of 13 square kilometers (5.0 sq mi). Its current towns and major settlements are The Bottom (the capital), Windwardside Town, Hell's Gate, and St. Johns. As the island is part of the Netherlands, Dutch is the official language.

Day 4: Gustavia, St. Barts

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
St. Bart's is perhaps the most treasured destination in the Caribbean! This small island belonging to the French West Indies has so much to offer, including incredible shopping only steps away from pier, beaches, resorts, restaurants, and activities both day and night.

Day 5: North Sound, Virgin Gorda

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Nearly every publication written about Virgin Gorda emphasizes the need to visit “The Baths” – don’t miss it!  The ship generally arrives early and anchors off Spanish Town to give you an early start to view the baths before all of the tourists arrive from the neighboring Islands.

Day 6: Soper's Hole, Tortola | Norman Island

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
This marina on Tortola's West End retains its quaint charm while being a center of activity and voted the best marina in the BVIs. Soper's Hole imparts a great sense of place and physical intimacy and is considered one of the most picturesque marinas in the Caribbean.

Norman Island is located at the southern tip of the British Virgin Islands. It could very well be the very same island reputed to be the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson's pirate novel Treasure Island. It is said that the island was named after a pirate who purchased it at some point during the early 18th century. The island is uninhabited and privately owned by Dr Henry Jarecki. Its area is about 600 acres (2.4 km²), and it is about 2.5 miles (4 km) long. A large harbor known as "The Bight" offers one of the most protected anchorages in the area.

Day 7: White Bay, Jost van Dyke

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Jost van Dyke is the BVI’s barefoot island. Its population depends on the month – typically 250-300. Enjoy Champagne and Caviar in the surf followed by an amazing BBQ Luncheon. A hike is always offered to guests to visit the famous Foxy’s Bar at Great Harbour (hopefully the boutique is open) or you can stroll a few meters down the beach to the Soggy Dollar Bar. Snorkel equipment is provided as well as some water toys!

Day 8: San Juan, Puerto Rico | Disembark

  • 1 Breakfast
Arrive in San Juan and disembark after breakfast for your continued independent journeys.

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).
