Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Day 1: Embark the Tere Moana in Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy
The heart of the ancient Roman empire and capital of modern Italy, Rome is one of the world’s great cultural centers, and an abundance of monuments, cathedrals, artistic masterpieces, and more reflect the city’s rich ancient, medieval, and Renaissance history. You’ll embark the Tere Moana in the nearby port city of Civitavecchia and enjoy time to settle into your stateroom before the ship sets sail this evening.
Day 2: Elba, Italy
“The Pearl of the Tuscan Archipelago” is a beautiful island in the Tyrrhenian Sea that once was connected by a land bridge to Corsica, birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte. It is better known today as the site of Napoleon’s exile after his abdication in 1814. The chief city on the island, Portoferraio, dates to the Etruscan civilization and offers many historic landmarks, as well as beautiful beaches.
Day 3: Monte Carlo, Monaco
Ruled by the Grimaldi family since 1297, with only brief interruptions, the Principality of Monaco is the world’s second-smallest country (after the Vatican). Sandwiched between mountains and the sea, Monte Carlo is a district of the country and home of the famous Grand Casino. Monte Carlo’s steep and winding streets have been featured in numerous films, including Alfred Hitchcock’s “To Catch a Thief” starring Grace Kelly, who would become Princess Grace of Monaco upon her marriage to Rainier III in 1956. Besides the casino, attractions of this glamorous district include numerous museums, churches, monuments, and gardens. Here, too, the Tere Moana stays late, allowing you to experience Monte Carlo at its liveliest: after dark.
Day 4: Nice, France
The “Queen of the Côte d’Azur” and the second-largest city in France, Nice offers beautiful views of hilltop villages, Art Deco façades, and a stunning coastline along the blue-green Mediterranean Sea. The ruins of ancient Roman baths are among the city’s top attractions, as are the Cours Saleya Flower Market, the Matisse Museum, and the Russian Orthodox Cathedral. Or perhaps you’ll simply stroll the lovely Promenade des Anglais, enjoy the world-class dining and shopping, or relax on one of the city’s many beautiful beaches.
Day 5: Cannes, France
You’ll find plenty of luxury dining and shopping in Cannes, one of the best-known cities on the French Riviera and home of the famous International Film Festival. You’ll also find a beautiful, sunny, Mediterranean climate and many free, sandy beaches, including the famous Plage de la Croisette.
Day 6: Cassis, France
Renowned for its limestone cliffs and stunning calanques (sheltered inlets), this pretty fishing village east of Marseilles offers an excellent beach, many pretty hiking trails, and a historic old quarter that blends medieval architecture with the pretty pastel façades of Provence. Or simply relax at an outdoor café and enjoy a local specialty: bouillabaisse with a glass of the region’s famous white wine.
Day 7: Sete, France
A beautiful fishing village, whose port is lined with colorful buildings, Sète is ideal for watersports, including sailing, swimming, and SCUBA diving. While here, you might also want to sample the fabulous fresh seafood for which the town is famous.
Day 8: Disembark in Barcelona, Spain
The capital of Catalonia, one of Spain’s 17 Autonomous Communities, and the second-largest city in Spain (after Madrid), lively Barcelona boasts a multicultural ambiance and a Mediterranean climate and lifestyle. You’ll disembark The Moana here, after breakfast this morning.

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).

Kelly and Rhenee were excellent to work with on planning our trip. The logistics all worked smoothly and everyone was friendly and on time. Our accommodations were very good, particularly the incredible Patagonia Camp in Torres del Paine! Our guides on every excursion were outstanding and made the hikes memorable! Overall we had a wonderful trip with incredible memories!

Adventure Life is definitely a first-class safari tour company, and our representative was Franny Friesz. First of all, she responded immediately after we contacted Adventure Life. We told Franny that we had never been on a safari, and she was more than eager to offer a mountain of information about the trip. She informed us fully about all the ups, downs, and all arounds! She even prepared a number of packages for us to review -- even after we made changes to the areas we wanted to explore. Friendly, helpful, professional, and extremely knowledgeable -- these words describe Franny, and what a wonderful trip she prepared! We couldn't have asked for better service than Franny of Adventure Life. We HIGHLY recommend her and her outstanding company! Bon Voyage!

The staff at Adventure Life made planning my family's trip to the Galapagos Islands as easy as possible. They listened to what we were hoping to experience and made thoughtful suggestions about how to accomplish our vacation goals while meeting the needs of travelers ages 17-76! They patiently answered questions and follow up questions in the months leading up to the trip. They helped us trouble shoot and customize the trip in every way possible. The logistics involved in traveling from Boston to the Galapagos are innumerable. The Adventure Life staff helped us arrange every detail and the team they assembled in the Galapagos was tremendous. I have never done a trip this big before and after working with Adventure Life this time--would not hesitate one second in working with them again.

The info on the website was laid out very well. I did some comparisons with other tours and found Adventure Life met a lot of what I wanted in an Antarctica trip at the cheapest price. Requested a quote on Claudia contacted me right away. She answered a lot of questions the I had via email even though she offered to discuss via phone call. I’m more of an email person so appreciated how she accommodated that and answered all my questions. And when I was ready to book, she quickly got the ball rolling with getting our spots reserved on the trip my friend and I wanted. Thanks again, Claudia!
