Voyage to the Heart of the Amazon Cruise

This Amazon river journey explores some of the most untouched rainforest in all of the Amazon. During this 7-day cruise, venture far up the least inhabited river in the Amazon Basin on the Motor Yacht Tucano. Weaving in and out of small channels on the Rio Negro, explore areas that are very rarely visited and seek out the mysterious life of the wilderness that stir in the forest and in the heart of wild nature. The guides are accomplished naturalists and can help you find creatures rarely seen by other visitors.

Days 1-3

    Explore the Rio Negro

    In the well equipped expedition boat, The Motor Yacht Tucano, explore far up the least inhabited river in the Amazon, The Rio Negro. Explore the forest by foot or in launches, go for swims in some of the cleanest water in the world, visit with local settlers that live deep in the forest and spend a great deal of time hunting for and observing the greatest collection of wildlife on earth.     Day 4

      Explore the Rainforest-Rio Jauaperi

      Arrive at extraordinary Rio Jauaperi river and spend the day in this unspoiled and stunning rainforest area. (BLD)

      Day 5

        Wildlife Watching on the Rio Negro

        Proceed down the southwestern bank of the Rio Negro and observe the different wildlife found on this side of the river. Travel through the night to the confluence of the Amazon and Negro Rivers. (BLD)

        Day 6

          Lago Janauari Ecological Park

          In the morning, visit the Lago Janauari Ecological Park where the thick brown water of the Amazon flows swiftly through the forest. This area is thick with life, including several different species of monkeys. Then travel to the “Encontra das Aguas” the stark several mile long line where the world’s two largest rivers, the Amazon and the Negro, join in a turbulent maelstrom. In the evening, return to Manaus and overnight on the boat. (BLD)

          Day 7

            Disembark in Manaus

            In the morning all guests disembark from the Tucano and transfer to the airport.(B)

            Kayaking Option: Complimentary
            Triple Occupancy: For three passengers sharing the same cabin, each passenger pays the Green Category rate even though they occupy a Yellow Category Cabin. (cabins 3,4,0)

            Single Occupancy: No single supplement for travelers willing to share with another same gender passenger. Single accommodations in the Green Category are available at 1.5 times the rate, or in the Yellow Category at 2 times the rate.

            Child Discount: Children aged 12 and under sharing a room with an adult save 50% off the cruise rate.

            Cruise fare includes:
            Accommodations, guided excursions and meals as indicated in the itinerary(BLD). Bottled water is served free of charge on the M/Y Tucano.
            Passengers will board the vessel on a short walk from the lobby of the Hotel Tropical, Manaus.

            Cruise fare does not include:
            Any airfare, airport transfers, departure taxes, visa fees, soft drinks or alcoholic beverages, or items of a personal nature.
