What's your Adventure?

Day 1 Lisbon, Portugal

One of Europe’s smallest capital cities, Lisbon is for many, one of it most beguiling – an easily accessible mix of new and old worlds. Elegant outdoor cafés line Lisbon’s mosaic cobblestone sidewalks along grand 18th-century boulevards. Turn-of-the-century funiculars dot its steep hills. Two-thirds of the city was leveled in a 1755 earthquake, but in its churches, peeling buildings, tiny alleyways and hidden squares, you can still feel the glorious past.

Days 2-4 At Sea

Explore the Wind Surf and enjoy her numerous amenities while your ship cruises along the coast of Portugal, Spain, France and more.

Day 5 Le Havre, France

Prepare to be amazed by this city of alluring contrasts nestled in the heart of Normandy. Like the mythical phoenix, Le Havre rose from the ashes of World War II as a modern city designed by Belgian architect Auguste Perret. Listed by Unesco as a World Heritage Site, the town offers a visual, intellectual and emotional feast for those who find inspiration in architecture. Old and new often intermingle, such as in the renowned Malraux Museum – a boldly modern structure housing a major collection of Impressionist art. The mesmerizing Baie de Sein that inspired many of the artists whose work the museum exhibits is nearby. Visit the seafront and ancient neighborhoods to experience shifts in environments that invigorate and pleasantly surprise the senses. Numerous parks and gardens have also gained Le Havre note as one of the greenest Norman cities.

Day 6 Dover, Great Britain

So defined is this ancient port city by its famed white cliffs celebrated in song and poetry, that a sense of place beyond them may escape notice. However, Dover’s fascinating ancient history is still alive to those ready to take the journey. Strategically located just 21 miles from Calais and continental Europe, Dover's thriving port and gleaming white cliffs have played an essential role in the development of England and its national identity, beginning in the Bronze Age, when boats traveled between the two mainlands. Many of Dover’s great treasures – such as a 3,550-year-old Bronze Age boat – are on exhibit at the Dover Museum. Relics also remain from the Roman period, when the main road known as Watling Street ran between London and Dover. The lighthouse the Romans built in 50 A.D. survives as one of the oldest buildings in Britain, standing on Dover's premier tourist attraction, Dover Castle. This magnificent structure incorporates an Anglo-Saxon Church, a Norman motte (mound), a 12th century keep, Gothic chapel and a network of underground tunnels built in the medieval age and last used by military and government officials in World War II.

Day 7 Antwerp, Belgium

A thriving enclave of wealth, culture and high fashion, Antwerp revels in the high life with Old World panache. The appeal of Belgium’s second-largest city exists on multiple levels. Its compact size allows for easy navigation of Antwerp’s many high points, such as the old city center. Built around the majestic Cathedral of our Lady – one of Europe’s finest Gothic buildings – the district provides stunning beauty combined with a welcoming, intimate vibe. Antwerp is defined by exquisite architecture, from the medieval riverside fortress to modern waterfront structures and the famous Cogels-Osylei. Seemingly thousands of restaurants, bars, antique shops, galleries and boutiques await discovery in cobbled lanes. And of course, there are the diamond shops, representing Antwerp as the epicenter of the world diamond trade.

Days 8-9 Amsterdam, Netherlands

Regardless how experienced the traveler, Amsterdam provides intriguing venues and the tantalizing opportunity for adventure at every turn. The city’s rich history, vibrant cultural offerings, congenial neighborhoods brimming with cafés and antique shops may seem only starting points at which to embark upon a much more profound journey of discovery. Start with the stunning old merchants’ villas, the Jordaan’s beckoning lanes or the magically verdant Vondelpark, then go where your spirit leads. Amsterdam is truly a city that welcomes you to make it your own.

Day 10 At Sea

After the last few days of activity, enjoy a relaxing day at sea.

Day 11 Oslo, Norway

Norway’s capital is a town with a relaxed attitude and energetic people passionate about the outdoors. Consisting of 40 islands and 343 lakes within its city limits, Oslo incorporates nature into every aspect of city life, which has an invigorating effect on both body and spirit. Neighborhoods are comprised of 15 boroughs, each with its own unique character. Explore Vigeland Park, featuring 212 sculptures by Gustav Vigeland, or indulge at one of Oslo’s four Michelin-rated restaurants. Or visit the Viking Ship Museum, housing the world’s best-preserved Viking sailing vessels. The Viking spirit of exploration lives on with the residents, who you can join in eager pursuit of the numerous outdoor activities available – such as cycling, hiking, ice-skating, sailing and skiing. Should things seem too overwhelming, look upon Edvard Munch’s The Scream at the National Gallery, and realize the consequences of stress. Overnight in port.

Day 12 Oslo, Norway / Disembark

After breakfast this morning, disembark your ship for your continued journey home.

All functions are operated from the bridge by computer micro-chips and navigational devices. The unusual "open-bridge" operation allows guests to drop by and acquaint themselves with the veteran captains and officers who demonstrate the ships' intriguing capabilities to modern day explorers.

This ships unique concept of sailing has led the cruise industry in the luxury small ship, casual attire, and alternative dining arenas. Pioneering and refining these concepts has earned the Wind Surf an excellent reputation and market niche, winning the allegiance of a new generation of contemporary cruise vacationers, one-third of whom are first-time cruisers.
