We depart from Quito at 7:00 AM for the Santo Domingo area southwest of the capital, which will take us about two-and-a-half hours. We reach our put-in near the town of Santo Domingo amid the cloudforest, and after our safety briefing, we navigate up to 30 kilometers of some of the best whitewater west of the Andes!
Depending on water levels, our rafting adventure should take us about three to four hours. On our way, we'll encounter an abundance of bird life, and possibly spot a family of the Southern River Otter. We enjoy a delicious lunch on the river, as well as a cold drink at the end of our run. Then we head back to Quito, arriving in the late afternoon.
This is a full day tour on moderate Class III+ rapids

This was our first trip to South America and we were a little nervous. But Adventure Life made things so easy! All our questions were answered before we left, and our guide, Vidal, was amazing! He gave us enough space to explore without rushing us along. He also knew where the best picture taking opportunities were, which was great.
