Passengers are welcome to board our ship at 4:00 PM in Passau. After comfortably settling into your cabins, enjoy a welcome cocktail with the crew before dinner. Begin to cruise towards the beautiful region of Engelhartszell.
Visit the Melk Abbey. We'll return to the ship in the morning and cruise on to Dürnstein. Enjoy some free time exploring this picturesque village, and its Baroque-style church - the most famous in the Wachau region thanks to the legend of King Richard the Lionheart. Return on board in the afternoon before cruising on to Vienna. After your arrival, tour Vienna by night.
Visit Vienna and Schoenbrunn Palace. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore this marvelous city at your own pace or take part in your excursion (not included in packages): Horse-drawn carriage ride though Vienna. Return to the ship and cruise to Budapest, passing Bratislava on the way. Tonight is your gala dinner and evening.
Today join a free visit of Esztergom. The city was the former capital of Hungary, under the reign of the Arpad kings. It is still a prominent town as it is the seat of the Hungarian archbishops. Esztergom is full of treasures with its neo-classic basilica and former Royal Palace. Depart for Budapest arriving in the evening. Get off the ship and visit Budapest by night.

DISCOVERY: Budapest by bike.
In the afternoon, you may choose to take part in an excursion to discover the Gellert Baths and Spa (not included in either package). After dinner on board, enjoy another free evening on your own or join us for an evening of traditional dancing in the city.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!

Adventure Life has been an extraordinary travel resource for us over the years and today was no exception. Our River Cruise booking was handled by Jess (who has been our personal trip planner for several years) the same day as our inquiry. Suggestions were given for cabin choice and pre-trip options (that were not shown on the cruise line's website) like airport transfers and prepaid gratuities. Trip insurance recommendations followed and we were assigned a travel co-ordinator till the end of the tour. All we have to do is show up! Great service from friendly folks.

Our travel was flawless! The rider pickup (airport, hotel, ship) was seamless. Jane's recommendation for Emerald Cruise Sakara was everything I wanted but the experience was soooo much more. Adventure Life took care of each and every detail and this was the easiest of all my travels.
