Spend the day sailing on one of the prettiest stretches of the Danube, the Strudengau, famous in times gone by for its whirlpools, the Nibelungengau, and all its legends. Enjoy a magical dancing afternoon on board. Arrive at the end of the afternoon in Passau. Discover the town in your free time. A university town with a rich musical and theatrical heritage, Passau's beautiful baroque buildings and romantic narrow streets linger long in your memory. Return on board and continue the journey to Regensburg.
Arrive in Regensburg during the afternoon. Regensburg is the fourth largest city in Bavaria, and an important industrial center (BMW, Siemens, Triumph). Its historic center has many well-preserved buildings and artifacts accumulated during some 2,000 years of existence. Join a guided tour of Regensburg, then return on board in Kelheim. Enjoy an evening of entertainment.
Arrive in Nuremberg early in the morning, you'll join a guided visit of the town. Nuremberg is a town that seems to come straight out of the Middle Ages. Known as the “Treasure Chest of the German Empire”, the old town is clustered around the old market square. There find Gothic buildings, half-timbered houses, and townhouses. Return on board in Erlangen.
Depart toward Schweinfurt early in the morning. Arrive in Schweinfurt in the beginning of the afternoon and there join an excursion to Rothenburg. A magnificent town located on a hill, Rothenburgis known for its well-preserved medieval old town. It has with many fine half-timbered houses and craft shops hidden away behind its walls along attractive, narrow streets. Rothenburgis an absolute “must-see” along the Romantic Road. Return on board in Gerlachshausen.
Visit Würzburg (residence of the bishop princes). Built on the right bank of the Main, Würzburg is a wonderful stop on the Romantic Road. It has a truly idyllic setting among vineyards located under the shadows of its imposing citadel - a lasting symbol of the power of the bishop princes. Return on board in Karlstad. Cruise to Wertheim.
Arrive during the morning in Miltenberg. Discover the town with an accompanist. Visit the market square surrounded by half-timbered houses, as well as the Main Street and the Old Town Hall. Such attractions are why Miltenberg deserves its nickname, the “Pearl of the Main”. Cruise to Aschaffenburg.
Depart for Frankfurt. A bustling business city and major commercial center, Frankfurt's eclectic mix of ancient and modern astonishes and delights visitors. Return on board and cruise to Mainz. Situated at the confluence of the Rhine and the Main, with its 1,000-year-old cathedral towering over the town, Mainz is the town of Gutenberg and has strong links with both the past and the present day. Arrive at the end of the afternoon. Discover the city with an accompanist.

Buffet breakfast on board. The morning is spent sailing with entertainment on board. Lunch on board and cruise to Strasbourg. Pass through the two largest locks on the Rhine, the Iffezheim and Gambsheim. Arrive in the beginning of the afternoon. Disembark.

We are so glad that we chose Adventure Life. The service is top-notch. Everything is well taken care of and we just have to print the documents and go. Franny even gave us timely updates on possible airport strike.

The trip was not only memorable for the amount of animals we saw but also for the people and accommodations at the two camps where we stayed. Our first guide, BK, was a wealth of information about the animals, landscape and down to the plants and what they were used for. Everyday out was a learning experience with him. All the people at the camps were gracious and the food was excellent.
Our second camp in the Okavanga was just as good as the first as far as the staff, accommodations, food and animals. After our experience at the first camp we amazed that the high quality remained the same. Our guide, G, made sure we were able to enjoy every experience including a rush through the bush to witness a cheetah and an ensuing hunt that he heard over his radio.
In both camps there were enough guides out that if they saw something the other guides were informed which helped in seeing as much as possible. It was also nice that the concessions were large enough that we did not have vehicles following each other throughout the day.
Normally there is always something in a trip of this length that we think could be improved upon but this is the rare case where we cannot think of anything. From the time we left the States to when we returned it was one of the most hassle free vacations we took.
Perhaps emphasizing the use of the laundry facilities at the camps would be useful because of the luggage restrictions would be the only thing I can think of as an improvement to future clients.
