However, this unique destination is not a good choice for every family, particularly young families. Parents should carefully consider the interests and limitations of their own children before deciding on a Falkland Islands tour.

Visiting the Falkland Islands involves a fair bit of travel--small planes between islands and occasional 4x4 off-road driving over bumpy terrain to reach ideal wildlife-viewing spots. These long transfers, as well as hours of wildlife watching, can become tiresome for even the most hearty child traveler. Not many young children travel to the Falklands, so it is unlikely that there will be other children for your kids to play with. We recommend a minimum age of 12 for all of our Falklands tours.
