Our guide will be waiting for you at Baltra Airport and will accompany you to the Archipell in Puerto Ayora harbor. After arrival on board, you will check in, get general information, and have lunch. Then start your first excursion to North Seymour which is located slightly in the north of Baltra. It is a low, flat island, formed as a result of submarine lava formation uplift. Covered with low, bushy vegetation, it contains the largest colony of magnificent frigate birds in the Galapagos. There is also a large population of Blue-Footed Boobies that perform an amusing courtship dance when nesting conditions are right. It is an incredible sight to see.
Darwin Bay is the only sandy beach found in the caldera on Genovesa. Colonies of the Great Frigates are found along the beach and the males exhibit their red balloon pouch to females in hope of a match. Red-Footed Boobies nest in the trees while the other two booby species nest on the ground. El Barranco, also know as Prince Philip’s Steps, is a stair carved out of stone. This will lead you to a wide plateau, where you can observe large colonies of Masked Boobies, frigate birds, storm petrels and bahama ducks. During this easy walk you will cross a little Scalesia woodland where you can observe the Short-eared Owl.
At Bartolomé Island admire the spectacular panorama of the Sullivan Bay and the famous Pinnacle Rock. The beaches at the foot of the Pinnacle Rock are excellent for snorkeling and discovering the hidden underwater world. Visit Sullivan Bay on the east coast of Santiago. Explore the white coral sand beach and begin walking over lava that flowed less than 100 years ago. This is the perfect place to see and feel the volcanic origin of Galapagos.
Charles Darwin Research Station contains an information center, a museum, a library and a tortoise breeding station. Encounter tortoises of different subspecies. These tortoises are prepared here for reintroduction to their natural habitats. The Highlands of Santa Cruz have incredible zones of vegetation. Visit the private farm of Las Primicias that offers one of the best possibilities to see the huge turtles of Santa Cruz Island at close range.
Cormorant Point has beautiful green olivine sand beaches. Follow a 100 m long path to reach a beautiful lagoon with abundant flamingos. In the afternoon visit the Post Office Bay, which still keeps the legendary post barrel that whalers historically used to post their mail. Later go to “Mirador de la Baronesa” where a naturalist guide tells the murder and mystery legend of the Baronesa. This viewpoint is located on the north of Floreana Island up a very easy climb. Steps are placed in this area for security.
Explore an abundance of natural wildlife on Española Island. It is home to various species of birds, like the endemic Hood-Mockingbird. Enjoy excellent swimming at Gardner Bay and snorkel to find lots of fish and sometimes turtles and sharks. The bay is also frequented by colonies of sea lions, which like to swim with people. Point Suarez has one of the most outstanding wildlife areas of the archipelago. An extensive number of species are found along its cliffs and beaches.
Punta Pitt is one of the only two sites where all three boobies breed. It is also occupied by frigate birds, Swallow-tailed Gulls, and Galapagos storm-petrels. Cerro Brujo is one of the first sites visited by Charles Darwin. This fascinating lava landscape is located on the northeast coast of San Cristóbal. On the rocks you can observe boobies, seagulls and some pelicans. This is a protected bay making it very popular for young ocean turtles and rays

Beyond expectations! Then again we weren't sure what to expect. Lovely stay at the lodge, met other like-minded travelers (many had their trips planned by Adventure Life) and the owner was a gracious hostess. It felt like you were one happy family, visiting with a favorite aunt.

Adventure Life is definitely a first-class safari tour company, and our representative was Franny Friesz. First of all, she responded immediately after we contacted Adventure Life. We told Franny that we had never been on a safari, and she was more than eager to offer a mountain of information about the trip. She informed us fully about all the ups, downs, and all arounds! She even prepared a number of packages for us to review -- even after we made changes to the areas we wanted to explore. Friendly, helpful, professional, and extremely knowledgeable -- these words describe Franny, and what a wonderful trip she prepared! We couldn't have asked for better service than Franny of Adventure Life. We HIGHLY recommend her and her outstanding company! Bon Voyage!

The staff at Adventure Life made planning my family's trip to the Galapagos Islands as easy as possible. They listened to what we were hoping to experience and made thoughtful suggestions about how to accomplish our vacation goals while meeting the needs of travelers ages 17-76! They patiently answered questions and follow up questions in the months leading up to the trip. They helped us trouble shoot and customize the trip in every way possible. The logistics involved in traveling from Boston to the Galapagos are innumerable. The Adventure Life staff helped us arrange every detail and the team they assembled in the Galapagos was tremendous. I have never done a trip this big before and after working with Adventure Life this time--would not hesitate one second in working with them again.
