Enjoy this 8-day cruise through the eastern islands of the Galapagos covering some of the most beautiful islands including San Cristobal, South Plaza, and Santa Cruz. Swarming with wildlife, volcanic wonders, and breathtaking landscapes, the northeastern islands of the Galapagos are an ideal place to spend a vacation! Day 1: Baltra - Santa Cruz Island

Arrive in the Galapagos and transfer by bus to the pier where your Galapagos cruise awaits! After boarding your ship, cruise to Santa Cruz Island where you will visit the Charles Darwin Station, home of the Galapagos tortoise breeding program.

Day 2: Santa Fe - South Plaza Island

This morning we visit Santa Fe Island where we search for Galapagos wildlife such as sea lions, iguanas, and the Galapagos Hawk! In the afternoon, travel to South Plaza Island, home of the Galapagos hybrid iguana.

Day 3: North Seymour - Santa Cruz Island

Today we visit North Seymour Island, home to Blue-footed Boobies and Frigatebirds. In the afternoon, we venture over to Santa Cruz Island and stop at Bachas Beach, one of the main sea turtle nesting sites in the Galapagos.

Day 4: San Cristobal

Today we explore San Cristobal Island, stopping at the Interpretation Center and Museum of Natural History in order to learn about the history and nature of the Galapagos Islands. Afterwards, hike up Tijeretas Hill which offers up magnificent views! We hope to catch a glimpse of the Frigatebird, as a colony is close by.

This afternoon we visit the San Cristobal giant tortoise breeding center to learn more about the Galapagos National Park's conservation programs.

Day 5: San Cristobal

Today we continue to explore San Cristobal. In the morning we stop at Cerro Brujo, an eroding volcanic cone comprised of interesting lava formations. We also visit a lagoon in search of migratory bird species such as the Ruddy Turnstone.

This afternoon we head to Pitt Point and take a hike up volcanic rock, offering up amazing views along the way! If we're lucky, we might just catch a glimpse of all three Booby species: Blue-footed, Red-footed and Nazca.

Day 6: Mosquera - Bartolomé

This morning we visit Mosquera Islet, home to one of the Galapagos Islands' sea lion colonies. In the afternoon we travel to Bartolomé Island, hiking through a stunning volcanic landscape en route to amazing views of the nearby islands.

This afternoon affords many wildlife viewing opportunities, including possible encounters with sea turtles and the Galapagos Penguin!

Day 7: Rabida - Santiago

In the morning we visit Rábida Island and its red sand beaches. Be on the lookout for Brown Pelicans during the months of July through September!

In the afternoon we travel to Santiago Island, arriving at the black sand beaches of Egas Port. Marine life abounds here, and if we're lucky, we will spot lobsters, starfish, and fur seals!

Day 8: Santa Cruz Island - Baltra

This morning we explore the El Chato giant tortoise reserve located in the highlands of Santa Cruz Island. We hope to have numerous sightings of the Galapagos tortoise in its natural habitat!

After our visit to the reserve, transfer to the airport for your flight back to mainland Ecuador.
